A very durable and sharp sword made from the hard & dense antlers of a golden buck for the capable beginner who cleared a hidden event.
It is a part of Beginner's Deluxe Set. A bonus effect will be applied when all 4 items are collected and equipped simultaneously.
Conditions of Use: Grid
Weight: 60.]
'Hmm... Quite nice. Amazing, in fact. It's better compared to the Blunt Greatsword I had in the starting days as a Warrior and the ones I made for beginners after becoming the Pagma's Descendant while preparing for the item production quest in Winston.'
All the items rewarded after clearing the 'hidden events for beginners' were epic-rated equipment and showed a greater performance than the items of the same rating & level present in the current market.
In Satisfy, the concepts regarding the rating and level of the items were independent of each other.
The rating of an item was decided by many factors involved in its production. For example, the quality of the blueprint, the quality of production materials used, the level of technique used, whether the technique's level was capable enough to handle the production materials properly, the attention paid during the item production, whether the blueprint was followed correctly, and the rating of equipment used to make the item—were some of the major factors responsible for deciding the rating of the item produced. Luck was involved to a certain extent as well.
Meanwhile, the level of an item was determined by the minimum 'conditions of use' and the level range it belonged to. In normal cases, the 'conditions of use' specified minimum criteria regarding the level of user, stat points, and mastery level required for a player to be able to use the item.
Whereas, the range of an item was decided by the fact up to what level it would still be viable for. Many lower-grade items would normally lose their edge after 10~20 levels from the minimum conditions of use—this was especially true at the beginning of the game where higher-grade items were scarce.
The better the rating and level of an item, the better its basic stats would be. This was the reason why Grid was amazed at the Beginner's Deluxe Items. They had better stats compared to most items present in the same rating and level range. Their performance was just that great.
The Beginner's Deluxe Boots were very comfortable and durable, had high defense, and increased the movement speed by 2%. Let alone the 'Old Goblin Shoes' that only provided 2 points in defense, even most of the epic-rated boots of level 20 range couldn't compete against them.
Similarly, the Beginner's Deluxe Sword was better than the 'Usable Iron Sword' that Grid had created during the preparation of the 'Item Production Game with the Mero Company' in his previous turn.
In practicality and handling, the Beginner's Deluxe Sword was ultimately better than most of the swords & greatswords of similar level range. Some greatswords may be able to pull out more physical attack power than it eventually, but handling this sword was easier, and the attack power it projected was very consistent, unlike any greatsword since their attack power range varied a lot.
'Hmm... I think around level 30~40 I would be able to acquire something better than these items. Till then, I don't have to worry about the performance of these items.'
[Sword Mastery]
[Stage: Beginner | Level: 2 (2%)
Type: Conditional Passive Skill
Swords of all types can be handled.
* Increases physical attack power and attack speed by 4%.
Skill Activation Condition: When a sword-type weapon is equipped.]
Every time the skill level of 'Beginner' Sword Mastery rose, the buffs provided in the physical attack power & attack speed were increased by 1%. The percentage of increase in buffs was different for every stage of the skill.
'Hmm... My proficiency in Sword Mastery is sure rising rapidly. All thanks to Morpheus... Hehehe... I sure would be enjoying the journey a lot.'
Grid then proceeded to see the descriptions of other items.
[Venison]
[It is ordinary deer's meat. Helps in the recovery of health and stamina gradually.
* Recovers 75 health points and 7 stamina resource points gradually when consumed after cooking.
Caution: There is a low probability of food poisoning when raw meat is consumed without being cooked properly.
Weight: 5.]
'Ordinary, just like before.'
[Elite Deer's Meat]
[A rare delicious deer's meat not found in everyday markets. Helps in the recovery of health and stamina faster.
* Recovers 125 health points and 10 stamina resource points swiftly when consumed after cooking.
Caution: There is a low probability of food poisoning when raw meat is consumed without being cooked properly.
Weight: 7.5.]
'Hmm... The effects are better compared to elite rabbit's meat, but both work similarly. Anyway, these things are just extras; don't truly do much. Let's see the main item.'
[Golden Venison]
[A unique deer's meat. It is very delicious and only available to players who have cleared a 'hidden event'.
Helps in the recovery of health & stamina at an extreme pace and increases Agility stat by a certain amount permanently.
* Recovers 300 health points and 30 stamina resource points immediately after the whole consumption of cooked meat.
★ Permanently increases Agility by 5~10 points. The better the meat cooked, the better the probability of acquiring a maximum increase in stat would be.
Caution: There is a low probability of food poisoning when raw meat is consumed without being cooked properly.
Conditions of Use: Grid
Weight: 15.]
'Good, as I thought, it is also similar to the Silver Rabbit's Meat—an elixir-type item. Though I wouldn't cook this until I get the proper cooking equipment so that I can acquire the most of the benefits it provides.'
Grid was happy and also hopeful now that he knew properly what he might get in the future after clearing the 'hidden events for beginners'. He became certain that there were at least two main rewards provided to the user by the system once the user cleared any such event.
One of them was epic-rated equipment, while the other one was the unique meat of the boss monster—an elixir-type consumable item that increased one of the four fundamental stats by 5~10 points permanently, depending on how well it was cooked.
From the descriptions of both equipment he had acquired, he had inferred that there were only four such events for beginners who could satisfy the conditions to trigger them.
Even though their species or race may be different from each other depending on the place they were in, all beginner areas in Satisfy had 4 types of monsters which were classified as beginner monsters. This also was the reason why Grid thought that there were only four such events that a beginner could clear.
'Anyway, let's check out the last remaining item.'
[Golden Deer Leather]
[The buckskin of a unique deer. It is very soft yet surprisingly durable and long-lasting.
★ The items made with this leather are luxurious and provide a high level of softness and comfort.
Conditions of Use: None
Weight: 15.]
'Hmm... a unique-rated production material. Even though it's low level, the rating is high, so a good item can be created in the future.'
The deer leather was known to be very soft, luxurious looking, and comforting, but very durable and long-lasting. However, this was the leather of a unique deer. This was even more precious and could be turned into a nice usable item by Grid for his starting journey.
Although it wasn't suitable for making hard items like leather armors, the leather was perfect for producing supple items such as gloves, shoes, boots, jackets, and bags.
'Perhaps I can make nice gloves or boots out of it in the future...'
He was already thinking about what kind of items he could make out of it.
'Anyway, now let's hunt the slimes and clear the hidden event to acquire more rewards.'

Grid had just reached the place where green slimes appeared 5 minutes ago. It was on the other side of lake shore. In that period, he had already hunted 7 slimes.
The green slime looked like a translucent blob of one foot in diameter tinted green with a mana core floating inside.
The green slimes normally stayed near the edge of a water body. They had the ability to corrode most things they came in contact with, gradually, eventually turning them into natural mana present in the environment. Meaning that they kept the environment clean around the area they dwelled.
Although not very agile, they were very resistant to physical attacks. Usually, the user had to be a level 5 player at least to defeat a green slime. It was all due to their viscous nature that negated most of the physical damage dealt to them and didn't let the weapons reach their mana core.
Their mana core was very fragile, so to hunt them down efficiently, the mana core was to be traced and shattered precisely.
However, even if they didn't have much movement and attack speed, the mana cores floating inside them weren't something stationary. Their position could be changed from even a slight impact of any attack if it wasn't as swift and strong enough to reach them lightning fast.
This was one of the reasons why attack speed and attack power were very important when fighting against the slimes, not the movement speed since they didn't have much movement speed to begin with. This method tested a user's precision, attack speed, and strength. For beginners, this was the correct method to hunt the slimes.
Another method to defeat them, which wasn't efficient, was to attack them repeatedly. Since their mana core was very fragile, the physical damage dealt to them, although diminished, was often accumulated gradually and the mana core was shattered.
This process wasted a lot of time, resulting in the gathering of many slimes who often killed the user in a group with their ability of 'corrosion'.
Grid had chosen the former method to hunt down the slimes. Moreover, he was extremely efficient in hunting the slimes because of his precision that could pinpoint and lock on to the mana core, the attack speed buff provided by his item and skill that enabled him to attack swiftly, and lastly his beyond-godly control and the newly acquired sword which helped him pull out a greater attack power than normal beginners with each swing.
His power was so overwhelming that he could take down the slimes with one or two strikes consistently. All he had to do was find the slimes, reach near them, and strike them once or twice for killing and reaping the rewards of them.
He kept on hunting until he reached the next level. In the process, he took down 35 green slimes in just 25 minutes of the period.

"Finally solved the problem of lacking mana and weight limit."
Grid finally solved the problem of lacking the mana required to activate the slash skills and the weight limit that had been exceeded.
His mana rose by 15 points, finally reaching 60 points—exactly the amount required to activate any of the slash skills Grid had.
His weight limit was also increased by 100 points. Since the items dropped by the green slimes were featherweight, Grid still had around 40 points left to be occupied. While hunting the slimes, he was sure he wouldn't suffer from the exceeded weight limit state anymore.
After his level increased, he went on a hunting spree again until he triggered the hidden event.
"Vertical Slash!"
After having a sufficient amount of mana, Grid was able to use a skill finally.
Shaak!
The slash made of energy cut the green slime and reached its mana core instantly, which then got shattered as well.

While hunting the slimes, he used the slash skills to the fullest to increase their proficiency rapidly. That was the case as well, the proficiency of his slash skills was increasing swiftly due to the passive ability correction Morpheus had applied to Grid.
Originally, the normal mana regeneration rate for beginners was: 1 mana point per second. This was different for Grid since his mana regeneration rate was increased by 50% additionally due to the passive effect of Meditation skill.
Therefore, he was able to recover all the mana he had used in just 40 seconds and was able to use the slash skills interchangeably 3 times in 2 minutes of the period. The cooldown time of both of his attack skills was also reduced because of the passive effect of Meditation skill but that wasn't of much use for now.
In just 5 minutes, the green slimes Grid had just hunted down numbered 10.

Grid killed 55 green slimes in total in 45 minutes of the period. Let alone an average player, even a top ranker couldn't accomplish anything near it at the beginning of the game.
Just then, the hidden condition that Grid had been waiting for was cleared...
[A total of 55 slimes were hunted by you in 60 minutes.]

The hidden field boss and its 3 minions appeared out of nowhere.
"Hehe... Thanks for dropping more rewards."
Grid was very happy to see a familiar scenario appear again. Since he had a hunch that the boss monster would appear after he defeated the 55th green slime, he was already prepared to hunt them down...
