Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Unaware of the couple's hidden motives and the situation at hand, he wandered aimlessly, oblivious to where his path might lead. Confusion surrounded him; he felt uncertain about his own identity and even more so about his actions. The trees loomed overhead, their branches intertwining like the tangled thoughts in his mind, casting shadows that danced in the dim light. Each step he took felt heavier than the last, as if the very ground beneath him was reluctant to let him pass. Suddenly, a loud roar broke through his thoughts, startling him. The sound reverberated through the air, a primal declaration that shattered the stillness of the forest. He turned to see the source of the noise—a pale blue-haired boy of noble descent, riding atop a three-headed lion. The lion, towering over four meters, initially seemed somewhat charming, its majestic form glistening under the moonlight. However, a closer look revealed a far more intimidating presence; its three heads snarled in unison, each pair of eyes glinting with a fierce intelligence that hinted at the creature's formidable nature.

The nobleman was Koman Gilgish, the youngest son of the illustrious Gilgish family. His life was marked by tragedy; he was the most gifted among his siblings, which made him a target of their envy. The weight of expectation bore down on him like a heavy cloak, suffocating and inescapable. Some of his siblings, driven by jealousy, tried to win him over with flattery, believing he was destined to become the next head of the family. Despite his repeated claims of disinterest in that role, they remained unconvinced, their ambitions for power overshadowing their familial bonds. Seeking a moment of peace, he had retreated to the forest to relax, hoping to escape the suffocating atmosphere of his home. Gazing at the shimmering moon, he found solace in its ethereal glow, a stark contrast to the darkness that often clouded his thoughts.

It was during this moment of solitude that he spotted a young man with a pale complexion and brown hair wandering aimlessly, seemingly without direction. The boy's demeanor struck Koman as peculiar; there was an air of lostness about him, as if he were a ghost drifting through the world, untouched by the realities that bound others. Koman, feeling no fear despite being deep in the woods, decided to follow him, curiosity piquing his interest. His confidence came from his status as a martial warrior, a title and the youthfulness of the man before him.

However, his pursuit was abruptly halted when a sharp object struck the leg of his mount, causing the lion to roar. Instantly alert, Koman realized that nothing in this forest should threaten his companion. At that moment, the seemingly innocent young man turned to him, and as their eyes met, the lion, despite its intense pain, remained silent and still.
