Chapter 5.3
As the day wore on, Lisa tried to distract herself by exploring the town. She wandered in and out of little shops, picking up a few souvenirs and chatting with the friendly locals. But no matter what she did, her thoughts kept drifting back to Franclon.
Finally, it was time to head to the park. Lisa made her way there, her heart pounding with anticipation. The park was just as beautiful as she had imagined, with lush green lawns, towering trees, and a clear view of the river. She spotted Franclon standing near a bench, his back to her, and her heart skipped a beat.
He turned as she approached, and the smile that spread across his face when he saw her made her knees weak. He looked just as handsome as he had the night before, with his dark hair tousled by the breeze and his eyes shining with warmth.
"Lisa," he said, his voice soft and full of affection. "You look even more beautiful in the daylight."
Lisa blushed, feeling a rush of warmth spread through her. "You're just saying that," she said, though she couldn't hide the smile that tugged at her lips.
"No, I mean it," he said, taking a step closer to her. "I can't believe how lucky I am to have found you."
They sat down on the bench together, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, both of them smiling like fools. It was as though the rest of the world had fallen away, and all that mattered was this moment, this connection they shared.
They talked for hours, just as they had the night before, but this time there was something different about it. The conversation flowed even more naturally, and Lisa found herself opening up to Franclon in ways she hadn't with anyone else. She told him about her father, about the pain of losing him and how it had changed her. Franclon listened intently, his eyes never leaving hers, and when she was done, he reached out and took her hand, squeezing it gently.
"I'm so sorry you had to go through that"
