I sat in the quiet corner of the library, my head resting on one hand as Jenna and Sera hovered nearby, their voices a constant hum in the background. They were still going on about the blood moon and the supposed powers I was meant to awaken. The sheer absurdity of their insistence made me chuckle under my breath.
I sneak out from them and run in the library. I want to know about the blood moon they're saying. I need more information about it.
I managed to slip away from Jenna and Sera, their concerned chatter fading behind me as I darted down the hallways. My footsteps echoed softly against the stone floors, and my heart raced—not from fear, but from a deep, gnawing curiosity.
They wouldn't stop pestering me about the blood moon, about powers I supposedly possessed. If they were so convinced, then there had to be something to it, right? I couldn't just sit and let their words swirl in my mind without answers.
