Something strange happened to Sera today. She told me everything that had gone wrong, from the moment she found that glowing stone to the weird woman with illusion magic messing with her. It sounded like a complete nightmare. I could see how shaken she was, even though she was trying to act like it wasn't a big deal.
"Hey, did you find anything related to the earth element on your way?" Scarlet asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
Her question hit me like a rock. I froze for a moment, my eyes widening as realization dawned. I hadn't. I got so caught up in all the stories Sera shared to me, I completely forgot about the actual assignment.
"Oh no," I muttered, rubbing my temples. "I didn't even think about it."
Sera raised an eyebrow. "Wait, seriously? After all that, you didn't find anything for the homework?"
