SCARLET
The whole night, I couldn't stop thinking about the voice. Should I trust it? Should I let it guide me? The more I thought about it, the more my chest felt heavy, like a weight I couldn't shake off.
The voice said it knew a way to save me from the Blood Moon, but could I really believe it? Trusting it felt dangerous, but ignoring it might be worse.
I couldn't sleep. My mind kept going in circles, playing its words over and over. By the time morning light peeked through my window, I was still stuck with no answers.
"Still thinking?" the voice said suddenly, making me flinch. Its deep tone was calm, almost mocking.
"Do you ever go away?" I snapped, looking around the empty room as if I could spot it.
The voice chuckled. "I don't need rest like you do. And right now, you need me more than you realize."
I frowned, rubbing my temples. "Why should I trust you? You're just... in my head. How do I even know you're real?"
