The soft morning light began to seep into the cave, filtering through the small cracks between the rocks, gently waking Jezz.
As a High Priest, despite his arrogance, Jezz still adhered to the discipline taught by the church.
He opened his eyes slowly, blinking to adjust to the light coming in, then sat up straight.
His eyes scanned the cave, observing his two companions who were still sound asleep on the stone floor.
"Barbarians and orcs seem to have similar sleeping habits," Jezz muttered, feeling irritated as he saw Oth and Gordon still snoring.
Without wasting time, he shouted, "Hey, wake up, you two! We have a mission to complete!"
Oth, the barbarian, lifted his massive body from the floor with sluggish movements. His eyes were still heavy from a deep sleep, but he tried to maintain his dignity in front of his master.
