-Francis POV-
"Die!" shouted one of the cloaked figures as a wave of them rushed at me.
Wow, these people are really unoriginal. They could have said something like, "Die, you ******** ******* &^$&^$($^$^%#@%&^%," you know, something like that.
Lightning crackled through me as I channeled [Arc]. I could feel the world slowing down as thousands of thoughts flowed through my brain in seconds.
[Nova Ascension/Water Nature]
My sword glowed blue as I kicked off the floor at lightning speed.
The first guy didn't even have time to react as I reached him. I slashed my sword from the top right to the bottom left. As I cut him, the [Arc] flowing through my sword evaporated him completely[1-Hit]. Swiftly, I moved my sword horizontally, cutting down the guy next to him [2-Hit], then slashed again from bottom right to top left [3-Hit], making sure he stayed dead.
As I killed both in under a second, the rest finally managed to react.
Their faces paled at the sight of their comrades being evaporated to the atomic level, but they didn't give up.
As they thrust their weapons at me, I switched my sword's mana nature to Lightning. I slashed an X [3-Hit], [4-Hit], parrying the initial two swords aimed at me. Then, I slashed from bottom left to top right, cutting across and killing the two stunned enemies in one parallel strike.
*Tickle*
I sensed something approaching at immense speed as it entered the range of my magnetic field. I ducked, narrowly avoiding the arrow that pierced the stone floor.
Spinning quickly, my enhanced speed made the motion deadly, forcing the remaining cloaked figures to back off. If they hadn't, their bodies would have been cleaved in two.
I stopped spinning and changed my sword's mana nature to [Wind-Nature], spinning clockwise from my original direction and sending out a gust of wind. The cloaked figures were blown back.
*Foosh*
"Damn!" I muttered, dodging another volley of arrows.
I quickly formed a hand sign and let go of my sword.
[Ten Shadows Technique – Rabbit Escape]
A wave of rabbits sprang from my shadow, covering me and concealing my figure long enough for me to retreat and find an angle where the archers couldn't hit me.
Fighting so many enemies while being shot at is frustrating.
I know the archers' locations, but I can't shoot them with [Ace of Spades]; they're too far. And I can't use [Ticuu's Divination] if I can't see them.
...wait, can I?
The "You need to see them" requirement was nothing but a game mechanic.
Lore-wise, the arrow will always be there and will always hit its target as long as you know what or who you want to shoot.
What was that line from its lore description?
"This is the one the Psions made so you can't miss."
"Huh. How'd they do it?"
"They put time in it."
"What kinds of time?"
"Kinds so when you shoot, that's always when the arrows hit."
"You never ever miss?"
"Not unless you were going to anyway."
"But if you do miss, it'll make it a time that you don't?"
"Right. Unless this time was a time when you did."
And proof of that is the arrow that appears on it magically.
"How's it make arrows?"
"They come from time, because they got put there before."
"When you shoot it, how's it know what heads to hit?"
"It goes in time and gets a future where heads always had arrows in 'em."
"But which heads, though?"
"The ones that had arrows already."
I gently sheathed [Gryphon] and took out [Ticcu's Divination]
Its silver and gold frame glowed a soft red.
It was telling me that it was time, for it knows that its arrows will never miss.
I aimed at the sky and pulled on the bowstring, the world seemed to have bent around its brace height as an arrow manifested between my fingers.
No, it never manifested or appeared.
It was there from the beginning.
The arrow began to glow red, the heat radiating from it was nothing to me, but for my enemies, it was a death sentence.
I let go of the arrow as it flew straight into the sky, its crimson radiance broke into eight separate arrows.
Like as if they had a mind of their own, each arrow bent, defying the laws of the world, and each went their own way.
{Eight targets down} announced Quinella in my head.
Seems like it worked!
A grin plastered across my face as I realized that as long as these mother fuckers weren't able to bend reality, they were quite literally fucked.
-3rd POV-
Aiz panted heavily as she hacked down her nth Evilus member, her before hazy mind was now clear.
They weren't hard to defeat, but their constant incoming amounts exhausted her Mind(Mana).
Her body was also sweating a lot from the continuous slashing and killing. Her whole body was almost bathed in the blood of her enemies.
she widened her eyes as she realized that she hadn't checked in on "Hat Man".
She turned her head hoping he'd be alright, but he was more than alright...he was a monster.
Corpse, upon corpse, upon corpse. Each body of the felled villains had an arrow lodged into their skulls.
And there he stood, panting lightly as he swiped the sweat off his face. As if all this had been just a light jog for him.
This surprised Aiz as she had seen him use a sword earlier. She could also tell that he was proficient with it, but it seemed like he was even better with a bow.
Considering the state of every single corpse that surrounded him, she could only chalk him up as a VERY deadly archer, even better with how he was with a sword.
'hehehe~' Francis grinned inwardly.
[Level 9--->Level 10]
He had finally reached what would considered a level 1 here in Danmachi stat-wise, not like it was important since his level and stats didn't scale with his Guardian power, but even so, it was a nice boost in power.
[Please complete limit break mission]
'Limit break mission?' thought Francis in surprise.

"..."
A shiver of fear ran down his spine as he read the mission description. He frantically looked around trying to find the "Witch" if it was who he thought it was.
But to no avail, he couldn't find "Her".
As he was looking, all he met with was the stunned eyes of Aiz, her body covered with blood that had splurted on her.
They both stared at each other in the midst of chaos. More Evilus members spawn from out of nowhere.
As more of the enemies closed in, a sudden ball of fire exploded in their midst, blasting them to pieces.
Both Francis and Aiz's eyes widened as they realized who it was.
A green-haired elf emerged from the dust, along with the rest of the Loki Familia.
The cavalry had arrived!
