Arielle's POV.
The realization that I was stuck inside the library with Damien came slower than a turtle race. I slowly turned back at him and flashed him the most disgusting look I could muster.
"It's not opening." My voice shook.
Damien frowned and stepped forward. I made way for him as he squeezed the knob and pulled several times.
"Shit, we are locked inside. The door has developed a fault." He said after he pushed the door twice with all his strength. He placed his hands on his waist and looked at me silently. "It will be a while before anyone notices—"
"Don't gimme that crap!" I brushed him aside and kicked the door very hard but it didn't move. "Help! Help! I'm stuck inside!"
"They won't hear you," Damien said as he sat on one of the chairs there.
"What?"
"The door, it's soundproof and very sturdy." He pointed at the cushion padding at the sides.
