Chapter 223 - Chapter 223: Life Forbidden Zone

Due to his status as a subordinate god of Drogon, Adins did not stray far from Blackwater Bay, but only occasionally went to the surrounding deep sea to hunt.

"Can spiritual gods influence ordinary people's thoughts and consciousness or interfere with their spirits without them noticing?"

After Adins and Drogon greeted each other, Drogon asked directly.

"Powerful spiritual gods can indeed influence the thinking of ordinary people without them noticing, but it takes a lot of time and effort. As for what you mean by interfering with the mind?"

After listening to Drogon's question, Adins thought for a moment and answered.

"They really do have this ability!" Thinking in his heart, drogon said directly: "The interference I mentioned is to invade the brains or dreams of ordinary people, causing them to become mentally ill or change their personality drastically."

After discovering the evil thoughts invading Daenerys' dreams, Drogon thought of her abnormal behavior during the day.

I also thought of Daenerys's father, Mad King Aerys, and the madness of the Targaryen family during the Dance with the Dragons.

He had long suspected that the madness of the Targaryen family might be related to the gods in addition to the inbreeding, and the discovery of evil thoughts last night further confirmed his inference.

He originally thought that after defeating the coalition of gods, R'hllor and other gods would give up interfering with Daenerys, and Daenerys's normal performance gradually reassured Drogon.

But drogon didn't expect that they had not completely given up and actually played such a trick under his nose. They were really bullying him, a physical god, and he couldn't do anything about them.

After listening to Drogon's explanation, Adins hesitated for a moment and said, "I have only heard that R'hllor, the Lord of Light, can influence the thoughts and decisions of ordinary people through their subconsciousness, but I have never heard that he can change people's personalities."

"Isn't it R'hllor who is responsible for Mad King Aerys and the mad character of the Targaryen family?" Drogon asked in confusion after hearing Adins' answer.

Drogon's question startled Adins, "We have discussed what you said before. We are very puzzled by some of the Dragon Kings in the Valyrian era and the occasional crazy people in the Targaryen."

"Later, we never found the reason. And I heard that most of them were close relatives, so this might be the reason for their personality defects."

Drogon still didn't quite believe Adins's words, and asked again: "Are you sure it wasn't R'hllor who did it?"

"It certainly isn't him, otherwise he could have let the many Dragon King families kill each other, and we wouldn't have had to spend so much energy destroying the Free Fortress of Valyria." Adins nodded affirmatively.

Drogon never expected that he had wronged the gods such as R'hllor, the Lord of Light. It turned out that they were not the culprits who caused the Targaryens to go crazy.

So where does that evil thought come from?

After falling into deep thought, Drogon quickly thought of two sources. One might be the God of Cold, who was the same origin as the Night King's flesh; the other might be related to the Black Stone.

He felt the evil and madness in the evil thoughts, similar to those in the Night King's flesh, and guessed that there was some connection between the two.

"Do you know Black Stone?"

Drogon had already asked Adins about the God of Cold, and wondered if he knew about the Black Stone.

"Is the Black Stone a really big black stone?"

When Drogon heard Adins ask this, he knew that he would not get any effective answer from him. As expected, he had only seen the Sea Stone of the Iron Islands in his early years, and had never seen the other Black Stones.

After all, it was a bit difficult for him, a drowned god of the sea, to ask him about things related to land.

"Are the Deep Ones real creatures?"

In Drogon's opinion, the land Adins were unfamiliar, but the legendary sea creatures should have been heard of.

"Is the Deep One a half-fish man with a fish head and a human body?"

"It should be them." Adins had indeed heard of the Deep Divers.

Seeing Drogon nod, Adins continued, "There is a thousand islands in the east of the Shivering Sea. The inhabitants of the islands have green skin and no hair. The god they believe in is the fish-headed god."

"I once dived into the seabed near the Thousand Islands and indeed found their traces. I also saw an underwater palace."

Hearing this, drogon couldn't help but ask in surprise: "Underwater palace?"

"Yes, I wanted to sneak in and take a look, but as soon as I approached the palace, I felt the evil hidden inside, so I didn't go in to investigate."

"Does that kind of evil have an effect on you too?" Drogon didn't expect that Adins would stop in his tracks after seeing the underwater palace.

"I had an instinctive resistance at the time, so I didn't go in." Adins sounded a little embarrassed.

He was afraid, and Drogon heard the meaning in Adins's tone.

Drogon couldn't understand what kind of evil power could make a sea god suppress his curiosity and retreat in danger.

"I advise you not to go there to investigate, and especially not to go to the sea east of the Kuril Islands, as that has become a restricted area for life."

"The forbidden zone of life?" drogon didn't expect that there was such an exaggerated place in the sea.

"Yes, it is located in the easternmost part of the Shivering Sea, also known as the Frozen Sea. The sea surface is covered with cold fog all year round. From a distance, the cold fog looks no different from ordinary fog, but once it touches you, you will be immediately frozen into ice."

"Even you can't withstand the freezing of the cold fog?" Seeing the fear in Adins' huge white eyes, Drogon asked in surprise.

"It's okay if I get a little bit contaminated, but if I'm covered by the cold fog, it will probably be difficult to escape."

Drogon couldn't help but compare the cold fog with his own dragon flame. From the miserable appearance of Adins being burned by the dragon flame, it can be seen that his body defense is not particularly strong, but his strength is extraordinary.

Then he thought of the time when he was frozen by the Night King's ice magic. The cold fog was probably about the same strength as ice magic.

After all, with his fire dragon physique, it is already very powerful that the Night King can make his whole body stiff and frozen.

Of course, he is no longer what he was then. He has devoured the Night King's godhood, and has been using his devouring talent to grow rapidly since the war. If he fights Adins again, Drogon believes that he will be able to defeat him in just a few moves.

"In addition to the cold fog, there are many cold creatures in the frozen sea that are not much smaller than me. They can spit out frost from their mouths to freeze their prey." Seeing that Drogon did not speak, Adins continued.

"As old as you are! Have you ever fought them?"

The size and strength of creatures in this world are almost directly proportional. If they are the same size as Adins, then doesn't that mean that even if they are not as strong as him, they are almost as strong as him?

"When I was exploring the frozen sea, I once encountered a six-armed Naga. It had a human head and a snake body. It looked ugly, but very powerful. I fought her evenly, but I couldn't resist the frost she spit out frequently, so I could only swim away."

After Adins finished speaking, Drogon couldn't help but ask, "Has her strength reached the level of a god?"

"Even if it's not a god, it's very close." Adins still has lingering fears when talking about Naga.
