Chapter 204 - Chapter 204: Too Much Talk

"I swore allegiance to you since you hatched the dragon, and have never contacted Varys again." Jorah slowly raised his head and said sincerely.

"You also swore allegiance to my brother Viserys!" Daenerys said indifferently, looking into Jorah's eyes.

Jorah had no way to defend himself and lowered his head again.

[It's so pitiful, just give it a punishment! ]

Looking at Jorah who had been kneeling there and didn't dare to raise his head, Drogon pleaded for him.

"It's none of your business!"

Daenerys turned her head suddenly, glared at Drogon over her shoulder, and spit in his face.

[Well!]

Drogon didn't expect Daenerys to be so angry, as she had never lost her temper with him before.

Jorah, who was bowing his head in repentance, looked up in astonishment at Daenerys who was scolding him. Seeing that she was looking at Drogon, he wondered in his heart, was Daenerys talking to Drogon?

But he only saw Drogon wipe his face with his little paws and did nothing. Why would Daenerys scold him?

Looking at Drogon wiping his face, Daenerys blushed and almost couldn't control her expression.

Although he had already guessed from Drogon that Jorah might have had ill intentions towards him and was mentally prepared, he still found it difficult to suppress his anger after hearing from Jorah what he had done.

From Robert the usurper, Jaime the kingslayer, to Mirri the witch who killed Drogo and her own children, to Eli, the personal maid.

What she hated most in her life was betrayal, especially betrayal by people close to her.

Even though Jorah took the initiative to admit the fact of his betrayal, Daenerys still found it difficult to forgive him.

"guard!"

The Unsullied guards standing outside the door immediately came in after hearing Daenerys's call.

"Take Jorah away and put him in the dungeon. No one can let him out or visit him without my permission!"

Upon hearing the order, the Unsullied hesitated for a moment before pulling Jorah up from the ground, tied his hands behind his back and led him out of the throne room.

Watching Jorah being taken away, Daenerys was still furious. She turned to look at Drogon and said, "You knew it and didn't tell me!"

[I told you, didn't you overhear everything?] Drogon replied, tiptoed off Daenerys's shoulder, and flew out of the Red Keep towards Blackwater Bay.

He didn't want to pay any attention to Daenerys now, as he just happened to have something to ask the Drowned God Adins.

"You... Drogon, come back here!"

Daenerys was just about to say that Drogon's thoughts at that time were unclear and she had to guess, when she saw him leave her shoulder and fly out, shouting again.

"Is Drogon angry with me?" Looking at Drogon flying farther and farther away, Daenerys couldn't help but regret yelling at him just now.

Varys and Tyrion walked together as soon as they left the throne room.

After a few words, Varys asked Tyrion if he had any news about the mysterious man.

Ever since he delivered the message to Slaver's Bay, he rarely received messages from the mysterious person in King's Landing, as if he had disappeared.

Without answering Varys' question immediately, Tyrion returned to the room temporarily prepared for the two of them and said mysteriously, "I said that even Her Majesty the Queen doesn't know the existence of the mysterious man. Do you believe it?"

"How is that possible?" Varys asked in disbelief.

Appreciating Varys's constipated expression, Tyrion felt extremely satisfied. He paused for a moment before continuing, "I told the queen the secrets that the mysterious man told you, and she knew nothing about them. Do you think she knows nothing?"

After a moment of silence, Varys said, "I was wondering why some things are so strange. Why did the mysterious man do that? Who is he?"

Varys thought about his interactions with the mysterious man and gradually figured out some things.

"The mysterious man is of course here to help Queen Daenerys. As for who he is, I don't know even if you ask me." Tyrion answered honestly.

"You didn't find any clues?"

From being frightened at first to joining Daenerys, he only follows the lead of the mysterious man.

But now Tyrion told him that even Daenerys didn't know the existence of the mysterious man, so thinking about his inexplicable surrender in the first place was a bit embarrassing.

Another strange thing is that Daenerys should have thought that the hunt she had suffered since she was a child must have been related to her as the intelligence chief of King's Landing. How could she accept her loyalty just based on a letter of surrender?

This can no longer be explained by simple trust and boldness.

As a well-connected intelligence chief, Varys originally thought that he would get the answers he had always desired after meeting Tyrion.

He never expected that not only did he not figure out anything, but he also had more questions that he couldn't understand.

Looking at the troubled Varys, Tyrion recalled his own feelings when he learned about these situations, and said, "The only thing I know is that Drogon is directly related to the mysterious man. There are no other valuable clues."

"Oh, there is one more thing I forgot to tell you. Queen Daenerys has been teaching Drogon to write. Given Drogon's intelligence, he may have already learned it!" Tyrion added.

"He can write?" Varys asked in surprise.

"I know that You-Know-Who has been in contact with you through letters, but do you think that You-Know-Who could be Drogon?"

Tyrion knew what Varys was thinking and looked at him and asked.

After hearing what Tyrion said, Varys gave up the ridiculous idea in his mind. Although Drogon defeated the attack launched by the gods, it seemed impossible for him to make a decision as wise as that of a wise man.

"How about we just ask Drogon?"

As an intelligence chief whose job is to uncover all kinds of secrets, he is itching to find out the true identity of the mysterious man.

"If I want to ask you..."

Bang!

Tyrion was about to refuse when the door suddenly opened and Grey Worm rushed in.

"Jorah was imprisoned in the dungeon by His Majesty. Do you know what happened?" Grey Worm asked directly after coming in.

"Jorah is in the dungeons?"

Tyrion and the other almost cried out in surprise.

Seeing the two people's reactions, Grey Worm knew that he had asked the wrong person and was about to leave, but was grabbed by Tyrion.

"Which dungeon is he being held in? I'll go ask him."

The two have been working together since Slaver's Bay, and it is impossible for Tyrion to just watch Jorah get into an accident and do nothing.

"I have already been to the dungeon. His Majesty has strictly prohibited visits."

When Tyrion heard that Daenerys had actually given this order, he was a little confused as to how Jorah had offended Daenerys and made the queen, who had always been close to him, so angry.

Of course, Tyrion is very clear about the feelings between Jorah and Daenerys. It can be said that almost no one can compare to him except Drogon.

Varys, who was standing aside, thought of Jorah's sudden move to stay in the throne room at the end of the meeting, and had a vague guess in his heart.

Tyrion was so anxious that he didn't know what to do. When he looked up, he suddenly saw Varys's thoughtful expression. He frowned slightly and asked, "What did you guess?"
