Chapter 13 - New Skills

Mhmm…" Atlas groaned sleepily as she stretched on the single unit bed, kicking off the cozy blanket that kept her warm during night.

[Class advancement… successful!

[+10 stat points to all attribute!]

[You have unlocked the skill 'Quick Forge']

[You have unlocked the skill 'Arcane Arsenal']

[You have unlocked the skill 'Crafted Fury']

[You have unlocked the skill 'Transmute Materials']

"Uhh… shut up!" She mumbled in annoyance covering her ears, but that didn't help as the notification binged continuously in her head.

She suddenly sat upright, looking around the room in scrutiny, and remembering it wasn't all a weird dream like she'd thought—she'd really transmigrated as a woman in this game like world. The notifications floating on her vision a more proof to that.

"Fuck," she fell back to the bed, rubbing her now aching forehead.

She suddenly sat upright again, "What time is it?" She asked looking out the small window. It was dark outside.

"Huh? If it's still nighttime, doesn't that mean I've been out for only a few hours. But I feel really rejuvenated," she mused, stretching in comfort. "It must be the class advancement." She added with a satisfied grin.

[No, it's not. You've been out for an entire day. Missed two Airdrops in a row, and a Global Notice.]

"What?" Atlas blurted in shock. "That can't be true."

[Believe it or not, this is day 4. 3 more days to go.]

"Wh—What about the other lord?" She asked in alert.

[Relax. You should put more trust in your warriors. They took care of him.]

"They killed him?" She asked in surprise.

[He wish.]

Standing before an upside down cacoon tied up to a tree with spider silk, was KaelStorm, with only his head poking out. He seemed to have burnt himself out trying to free himself from the sticky wraps, and was now relatively calm, even as Atlas stood before him.

"They did this to him?" Atlas asked in amusement.

[Not before beating him to a pulp the moment he spawned. You should've seen your warriors in action.]

"But… why didn't he just activate the domain barrier. And what's all this?" She asked in confusion, looking from the shack she had just stepped out of, to her underground manor construction, which were just a few metres apart now.

Speaking of the manor construction, she was excited to see they were already working on the interior, as the roofing with the glass dome was already in place.

[Why don't you check it out yourself.]

She didn't need to hold the domain orb to access it's features, as she could do so now with a simple mind command.

|[Domain Status]|

Name: —

Rank: SS+

Tier: 1 [36%]

Lord: Atlas

Infrastructure: 4/12

Blueprints: 4

[Cottage] | Common. [Well] | Common. [Farm Plot] | Common. [Underground Village] | Epic. [Warehouse] | Uncommon.

Villagers: 2

[Map] | [Summon] | [Treasury]

She was pleasantly surprised to see her progress shot up from 0.2% like she had last remembered, to the now 36%. The infrastructure limit going up from the previous 3 to the now 12, with the number of constructs on her domain now more. A new blueprint [Warehouse], and a new icon she didn't think was available the last time she checked—[Treasury].

"Wow… " she amazed at the progress made in her domain in her absence. "How did this happen?" She asked in genuine curiosity.

[You asked why he hadn't activated the domain barrier…? He did, but your skeletal warriors destroyed the domain orb before it could be fully activated. And, thanks to your high vitality, you weren't dead before they conquered the domain.]

"Was that what the Global Notice you mentioned earlier was about?" Atlas asked, putting two and two together.

[You know the drill. And you got an awesome present again. Check the treasury.]

Atlas was still in a slight state of shock, as she tapped on the treasury icon. There was only an item within, and as she read it's description, she fell into a daze.

[Pillar Guardian]

Item Type: Magical Artifact

Rarity: Adaptive

Category: Domain Guardian

Required Level: None

Description: "A pillar of the ancients capable of forming a contract with a Lord and the spirits to protect their domain. The summoned spirit gauges and scales the level of the enemy to fight fair and square, as this is the way of the spirits."

Note: Once dead, cannot be revived.

This should be the most balanced overpowered artifact to ever have been crafted into existence. The description could be a little misleading, but it meant what it stated. A scaling artifact which gauged the ability of a target and either buffed itself to match the prowess of a stronger enemy, or debuffed itself to match that of a weaker enemy, regardless of it were up against a God or a rat.

The only clear problem being it seemed to do this for a single target at a time, which meant she'd have to only use it on the most powerful or crucial of her enemies, like the Lords or a boss monster. And… it could die. That was sad.

"This is great," she nodded in satisfaction.

[It's perfect. Now you just have to focus on growing your troops, then you could focus on your class reassured.]

Atlas nodded in agreement. "But… don't you think my skeletons are growing abnormally fast day by day?" She asked, remembering something.

[Why do you say so?]

"Mentally, I mean. But, do you think it's normal for them to pick me up and place me on the bed, covering me with a blanket?" She asked in uncertainty. "Where'd they even get blankets from?… That's kinda creepy." She mumbled the last part to herself.

[Haha… That's the undead for you.]

"…"

[Why don't we check out your new skills.]

"Yeah. I almost forgot." She tapped at her glabella twice.

Excited to see how she now had a +10 bonus stat points to all her attributes, her eyes quickly narrowed down to the skills section, and she was instantly amazed.
