Chapter 37 - The First Omniverse Jump

All Set

Cameras, bombs, cloaks, jackets, food, water—everything was packed and ready. The place looked like the stash of a doomsday prepper, with gear crammed into every corner.

Everything had a purpose, a plan.

I glanced at the clock on the wall. 7:07 PM. My eyes flicked to my reflection in the window. If anyone who knew me saw me now, they'd think they were hallucinating. My hair—once bright orange—was now stark white, like I'd lived a decade in the last two days.

Mostly due to assimilation.

Two days since Kilgrave spilled his guts. Two long, dragging days.

Jessica was still here, though it was hard to say why. She hadn't said much about what she wanted to do next, which was probably code for: she had no clue. She seemed stuck, like she didn't know whether to move forward, go back, or just punch a hole in the wall.

And Kilgrave? Still chained up like the dangerous animal he was. We only let him move when one of us could drag him to the bathroom, and even then, it was under close watch. Nobody trusted him. Nobody would. He wasn't getting so much as an inch of slack.

Daredevil had decided to take a breather for a few days before getting back to work. It didn't mean we'd stopped going after the gangs entirely, but group operations were on pause. A little downtime, that's all.

And no, it wasn't because of Kingpin. This wasn't about fear. It was about not running ourselves into the ground.

The quiet in the room wasn't peaceful, though. The tension? It was so thick you could almost choke on it.

Which is probably why I made up my mind.

Today's the day. My first Omniverse jump.

I was going to Westeros.

I had no clue where I'd land. No confirmation of the timeline or even the location. For all I knew, I could drop straight into the middle of Daenerys' dragons or a swarm of the Night King's army.

The only thing I could do was prepare for everything.

I even emptied out a supermarket. Shelves of food, water, and supplies were wiped clean. The cashier probably thought I was stocking up for the apocalypse—not entirely wrong.

Luckily, with the time dilation in the ring, I didn't have to worry about anything going to waste. Time passed slower in there, so my stash would stay fresh for a long while.

It's slows not Stop.

Of course, buying in bulk like that could've raised a few red flags. I wasn't about to have my face plastered all over surveillance footage, so I used one of the cards I swiped off Kilgrave. But not as myself.

I went as Geralt.

Yes, the witcher.

I used template transformation—white hair, scarred face, the whole vibe. If anyone saw me, they'd assume I was some cosplayer with too much money to burn.

Don't get me wrong—I like Geralt's look, but I still feel more comfortable in Jason's body. Not just the looks but the way it moves, how natural it feels to wear.

Maybe it's just familiarity.

I've gotten used to it.

But in the end, it doesn't matter. Geralt's face was just another tool to get the job done.

And the job? That's just getting started.

I have six months to train. Six months to prepare for whatever comes next.

At first, my focus was set on Azi. I wanted to go after them immediately, burn them to the ground. But after everything that happened with Jessica and Kilgrave, my perspective shifted.

Who knows how deep their influence goes? Maybe they've got mutants working for them. Maybe they're tied to the government, hiding under the guise of legitimacy. Anything is possible.

One thing's for sure—I won't forget what they did to me. Revenge is still on the table, but I'm not about to let my anger make me reckless.

If I'm going to destroy them, it won't just be a strike. It'll be absolute. No loose ends. No chance for recovery.

This isn't about just winning. It's about erasing them completely.

Once I finish my travel, I'm going all in. No more waiting around, no more second-guessing.

I've already made a list of everything I need to do:

Build a Base

Create an Organization (with Summons)

Investigate Key Players – Hellfire Club, Eternals, and others. I need to know who's out there and what they're planning.

Prepare for Attack – Whether it's offensive or defensive, I need contingencies for every scenario.

Devise Methods to Stop Invasions – From other dimensions to aliens invasions

Establish Another Base – Always have a fallback. One base isn't enough so make hundred.

Recruit Locals – Build a second organization using the people of this world.

Hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Database – Knowledge is power, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has plenty of it.

And More – The list keeps growing. Adapt and expand as I go.

This is just the beginning.
