In the following days, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him. Every corner he turned, every street he walked, he felt eyes on him. He tried to continue life as usual—working on freelance jobs, ignoring the cryptic code still sitting on his server. But it was always there, in the back of his mind, gnawing at him.
The message had left him with questions he couldn't ignore. What was "The Realm"? Who was the "Ghost"? And most importantly—what was the purpose of that code?
One night, as he sat at his desk, the code flashed again on his screen. But this time, there was something new: coordinates.
He hesitated, his heart pounding in his chest. Part of him wanted to shut everything down, walk away from this digital nightmare. But another part of him—a bigger part—wanted to know what lay at the end of those coordinates.
Half an hour later, Alex stood in front of an unmarked warehouse on the outskirts of Novareon. The city was a labyrinth of towering skyscrapers and underworld markets, but this place was different. It was desolate, devoid of the neon lights and constant buzz of the city center. Only the faint hum of distant drones filled the silence.
He approached the entrance, feeling the weight of every step. The door slid open without a sound, revealing a dark hallway lined with servers. The air was cool, humming with the sound of processing data.
As Alex ventured deeper into the building, he found himself in a large chamber, at the center of which stood a single console.
A voice echoed through the room. "You've found me."
Alex spun around, but no one was there. The voice continued. "I've been waiting for you."
His breath quickened. "Who are you?"
"I am the architect of The Realm," the voice replied. "And you, Alex Kincaid, are the key to unlocking its true potential."
