Devlin's p.o.v.
I needed to be careful with her because whenever she looked at him, Devlin couldn't mask his emotions well.walking behind her as she dashed to pick her phone, I stood by the door hands in my pocket.
I shouldn't have cared,he should have heard little and cared less but he found that as soon as she looked and saw him at the door he wanted to wipe the shock and worry off her face.
He worried that it might affect her health having been in a repeated state of shock since last night.
He found himself telling her he would explain to her boss and volunteered to drive her there to his horror.
She nodded appreciatively.
Damn his mouth and heart that weren't in agreement with his nature,what was ought of it,it did the opposite.
He grunted internally,his cousin probably having a good laugh at him.he wasn't going to be displaced easily. This exile his father had sent to him as a punishment would fuel his drive to change himself.
He also had been diverting from the normal CEO habits, which he needed to rectify as soon as possible,his butler and a few staff had begun looking at him in suspicion though they tried to hide it.
He never brought a woman,no matter how beautiful she was,home.he was not a morning person and that meant he had broken the first tradition of the late CEO.

Arriving at Melissa ( mirabelle) office,she ventured in first and if she needed my help,I gave her my contact.
As soon as she left,I used my powers to scense the aura there,it was mixed.a pain shot through my body making me see black before focusing on the floor which felt as if it moved.
It resided only for me to rise up and take another hit,I groaned."what the hell?my body felt hot,my throat parched,my eyes clouding.
No,No,No! I couldn't be this hungry,my life force greatly weakened,the light rays of the sun hit me with such a force that I had to scram into my car.
My breathing harsh,never had I felt hunger like this.I needed to feed and cautiously because I now knew she was a detective and her real name was Mirabelle.
I turned on the engine,only to see that my phone was ringing. I stared at the phone as if it contained a bodiment of the most dangerous possessed object.
The pain had resided somewhat and I picked the phone,opening the door and trying to brace myself against the sun.
I was surprised to feel no harsh body biting ray from the sun,my brows furrowed.walking without a glance from people was not uncommon.
As soon as I entered the office, different shapes and color of eyes came to rest on me.My gaze flicked from the multitude to rest on her.
It was as if they put a cooling balm on my soul as I found myself trying to break my gaze.she looked at me like I was a knight in shining armor.
Which I was far away from.
"" Mr Devlin,we didn't know we were expecting a dignified figure like you, to what do we owe this visit. A medium height, long nosed,40 something old man with a well ironed suit,spoke.
Dropping myself on the nearest chair,I asked them to proceed,I was here as a defendant to the accused.
They stared at her before coming to back to look at me.
One of the men,who wore a blue coloured suit,eyes as deep as the ocean,a small mouth, hawk like nose sneered.
And for what purpose did he do like that,this kind of person would not want to see an accused mate go free and it seemed that she had steepled on his foot.

They played a video of her nude, kissing an unidentified male from a pole with an immediate glance at the video,I knew it wasn't her.
They brought out allegations of illegal things like talking a bribe,nonchalancy to work bla bla bla.
How did I know it wasn't her? I asked myself.shrugging I used my powers to rectify the issue and making them to apologize to her.
I pinned the girl to the video at a young lady working there.No one altered a word.
" Thank you Mr CEO for coming,we are sorry we accused the wrong person,please do forgive us.
I nodded like the gentleman I was and stood up, calling the man aside and placing a bundle of money in his hands.
Please do manage this,ceo doesn't want to bring a suitcase to attract attention. the man smiled.
Deep set of eyes stared discretely at us.
I felt rather than heard her come close,I should have left immediately but I lingered,foolish me.

The pain hit me a double fold as I flashed with the little strength in me into my bedroom, groaning and huffing,internal heat in my system it felt like I was seconds from exploding.
It was primal hunger.
Little feeding would not work now,I had to have a little dignity.i dropped my limp body on the bed.
Entering an always locked room,I pulled off my clothes, shutting the door.

Throwing the pebbles into the river,my pepper and salt hair styled,whistled.the air was cool,the sun had gone down.

A while later,a tall man entered his heavy long legs a thud on the ground,his shoulders wide with a ghost moustache.He looked like a thug despite the expensive suit her wore.

She came back and we greeted her with a nervous welcome asking her about her health.
She acclaimed she was fine and was still a virgin.
Mariam had almost pulled out my ears in asking if they should locate the police office as she didn't see mirabelle at the club.
Calling a police for a detective?.
Why did she have to say she was a virgin?I sighed with disgust.
My phone startled all of us,Mariam was asking about the hottie from last night.
Going outside,I answered the call."Madam has arrived,it hung up.
