'I wonder how the old man is feeling' Koruso thought while walking down the mountain.

He followed the path just as he always did, feeling the wind breezing against his shoulders as usual in this cold weather. While he walked he observed the birds, the trees, and the sky, taking it all in.

His clothes flustered and sputtering everywhere in the wind, he shielded his face with his arms, 'I must've lost track of time observing plants!' He thought as a snowstorm suddenly surged. 'I gotta get out of here, and quick!'

He started running, sighing in relief as he realized that although he did get caught in a snowstorm, his house is just ahead. He runs fast, only now realizing that he was carrying logs on his back.

As he bust open the door of his house, he speedily closes the door to prevent cold air from coming in. He looks around after putting his clothes on a nearby table, 'ah, my dear sister, you must've fallen asleep.'

Koruso then ran to his room and gently closed the door in hopes of letting his sister continue sleeping. While he jumped on his bed, he took a moment to just take a breath and relax for a moment. He contemplated the day so far, recalling how he woke up early to collect wood for the fire, as today was a special day, and he didn't want to ruin that.

Today was his sister's birthday, however it was also his birthday. He knew that his sister had been excited for the occasion, hence he was prepared when she began to pound him for the answer earlier in the day.

Today he also began to practice with a sword, despite his father constant warnings. His training had gone well, though he had only been able to muster up the strength to just swing the sword. He considered that he truly was a failure, but even so he had no one to compare himself too, not even his dad, because although his dad practiced the sword too he had never actively showcased it to Koruso.
