The terrain was part rocky and part forest, stretching miles into the vast ocean where the river met the sea. The sight captivated her completely.
"Jason…" She called out gently, eyes still watching the approaching end.
"Yes, Miss?" William and Calix looked toward Jason with surprise. The two men were around 50 feet behind the father and daughter pair, making it impressive that he heard her soft calling.
Calix hadn't even heard her until Jason answered and strutted forward with the horse.
"I didn't bring my phone." She felt a sudden urge to share her views with Ethan and Austin.
"You can use mine, Miss. Is it for pictures?" He very casually reached into his pocket for it.
"Yes, I also want to video call Grandpa." William wanted to offer his phone, but hearing that she wanted to talk with Ethan made him pause. "And Austin."
A video call? Hearing Austin being mentioned again left a bitter taste in William's mouth.
