Chapter 11: Even Small Can Be Cute

"Relationship successfully established. Current trust level: 2."

"Relationship successfully established. Current trust level: 2."

Mu Yue nodded to himself, feeling satisfied. All the effort he put into pretending to be the bait had finally paid off. He realized that gaining trust was a gradual process and needed time to nurture. If he had started at trust level 1, the initial rewards wouldn't have been as beneficial.

"Two students with potential ranked S or above have been discovered. You have gained the skill: Teaching."

"Teaching: The knowledge you impart will be easier for others to absorb."

It was a straightforward but powerful skill, one that greatly enhanced his teaching ability. The lessons he gave would now be more effective, and Mu Yue tested the skill, finding that it could be turned on or off at will.

But for a skill like this, which had no drawbacks, Mu Yue naturally chose to keep it activated—unless someone like Danzo noticed his teaching talent and tried to make him join the Root. In that case, he'd definitely turn it off.

The only thing Mu Yue found disappointing was that despite having more students, the number of "student returns" hadn't increased. He still only had one chance per day to benefit from his students' progress.

He had hoped that cooking meals for Shisui would grant him a 50-point chakra boost. If he could cook for all three of his students, that would guarantee at least 150 chakra points a day. That would be much faster than just teaching! Sadly, it seemed he had been too optimistic.

Even so, having three students was still better than just one. Emotional bonds had a threshold, and with time, it would take more to trigger big emotional responses and rewards. But with three students, he could rotate between them to maximize his chances of hitting the jackpot and slowing down that emotional threshold.

"The current growth rate is still pretty decent," Mu Yue thought to himself, glancing at his stats panel.

Name: Hanyu Mu Yue

Age: 18

Chakra: 4405

Skills: Fire Release: Dragon Flame Jutsu, Water Release: Water Formation Wall, Wind Release: Pressure Damage, Teaching...

Compared to when he first crossed into this world, Mu Yue had gained a total of 105 chakra points—90 of which came from teaching and "student returns," and the remaining 15 came from his personal training and the "master return" rewards he received from his disciples.

And that was just in five days! Most of the rewards Mu Yue received were various ninjutsu. If he focused entirely on building chakra, he could guarantee at least 100 chakra points a week just by teaching, not counting any extra bonuses from his students' progress.

Still, Mu Yue figured it was better to balance his rewards between chakra boosts and high-ranking ninjutsu. The system's rewards for teaching were ninjutsu that came fully mastered, ready to use in battle. They weren't just the basics; they were advanced techniques.

And if he received a ninjutsu he didn't yet have an affinity for, it would come with nature transformation training. If he got a duplicate, it would just increase his proficiency—truly thoughtful!

Learning those techniques through traditional methods would take up a lot of time and effort, and figuring out training methods would be another headache. But Mu Yue knew that eventually, he'd have to focus more on chakra since that was the foundation of any ninja's power.

"Teacher, I'm done!" Obito called out, eager to learn more ninjutsu. He had given his all and completed his assignments with intense focus.

"I've finished too," Might Guy reported, not wanting to be left behind.

"Two at once, huh?" Mu Yue was grateful that he was in the world of Naruto, where clone techniques were common. He created a shadow clone and said, "You go explain the principles of the Leaf Whirlwind to Guy, and demonstrate it a few times."

Because one student focused on taijutsu while the other on ninjutsu, Mu Yue couldn't teach them both at the same time. So, he had his clone handle Guy while he personally taught Obito.

They would switch roles every half-hour, with Mu Yue teaching Guy and his clone teaching Obito. That way, both students got equal attention.

Mu Yue wasn't the type of teacher to give special treatment to just one student. He wanted to spread his care and guidance to all of them.

Just like when he taught Shisui, Mu Yue was meticulous in breaking down the techniques, practically guiding them step by step.

"You taught your disciple the Fire Release: Dragon Flame Jutsu. Due to your disciple's deep gratitude, you received a critical reward: Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet (Proficient Level)."

Mu Yue paused to think. He had taught Shisui the Dragon Flame Jutsu before, but he hadn't received a "student return" at that time. Perhaps the reason was that the Dragon Flame Jutsu had originally come from Shisui, and the system didn't allow repeated rewards from the same disciple.

He silently noted this hidden rule.

"Please don't let it be the 44-hand-sign version of the Water Dragon Bullet," Mu Yue groaned internally, remembering the Kakashi vs. Zabuza fight. It looked cool in the anime, but a technique requiring that many signs would be nearly impossible to use in real combat unless someone was distracting the opponent.

Thankfully, the system's "Proficient Level" didn't let him down. He only needed six hand signs to perform the technique, and with more practice, the number could be reduced further.

After teaching Obito for half an hour, Mu Yue switched to instructing Guy while his clone continued working with Obito.

Once both students had been taught, he spent some time helping Shisui as well, rotating between all three of them.

By noon, Mu Yue decided to catch some fish from the river. He grilled four fish over a campfire, giving one to each of his students for lunch.

"This is delicious! Teacher Mu Yue, if you opened a barbecue shop, I bet it would be a huge success!" Obito praised, munching happily.

Shisui and Guy nodded in agreement.

"Careful not to swallow any fish bones," Mu Yue chuckled, shaking his head. Was the fish really that good? He doubted it, as he didn't have much skill in grilling. He rarely cooked outdoors.

But the reason it tasted so good probably had more to do with the atmosphere. Shisui usually ate alone at home, so sharing a meal with others in the wilderness must have felt special. Obito only had his grandmother to eat with, and Guy ate with his father. The novelty of grilled fish, combined with the warm company, made the simple meal taste extraordinary.

After an hour's rest, Mu Yue led the three students back to training.

"This jutsu isn't that hard after all," Obito said proudly, watching his fiery dragon swirl in the air. It was much smoother than when he trained the Great Fireball Jutsu.

At the same time, Shisui was practicing his own Dragon Flame Jutsu, releasing a fearsome dragon with sharp fangs and a menacing aura.

Seeing Shisui's intimidating dragon, Obito quietly guided his own small, chubby fire dragon to hide behind him.

Just as Guy was wiping the sweat from his brow after countless practice kicks, he noticed this scene.

"Don't worry, your little fire dragon is really cute," Guy comforted Obito. "It'll grow strong, just like Teacher Mu Yue's dragon, one day."

Although the words were meant to console him, Obito felt an unexpected pang of frustration. That frustration fueled his determination, and instead of resting, he immediately resumed training with renewed vigor.

Seeing Obito so motivated, Guy wasn't about to be left behind. After resting briefly, he too returned to his intense training.

"These two are surprisingly in sync," Mu Yue thought with amusement, watching the scene unfold. Obito and Guy had an interesting dynamic together.

As evening fell and it was time for dinner, Mu Yue dismissed them, telling each to head home and rest, reminding them to come back tomorrow for more training.

Sunday was another day filled with training, and Mu Yue was rewarded with 50 chakra points from his "student return."

And so, a new week began...
