Chapter 22 - The End (for now...)

"—Emilia, I want you to come back with me to Londrin," Arthur said after our sword training.

It had been weeks since the night of the ball, and Edward and I hadn't spoken since. Python had also kept her distance. The armies of both Draconidia and Martri were waiting for the Otonto army to make a move. In the end, the Elven queen chose her own path: to stay with the one she loved, even if it meant risking defeat in the great war.

"—I don't know what I might find in Londrin... I want to see my brother and father, but I feel like everything is empty. I've already lost my mother again in this life, and I wonder if I'll lose something even greater when I return. I admit, I'm afraid," Emilia confessed, sitting beside Arthur on the bench.

"—When we get to Londrin, you'll find much more than you ever dreamed of," Arthur replied reassuringly.

And so we find Emilia on the train, after dozing off for a brief moment. A sudden jolt woke her up to the sound of screams from every direction. The train was under attack by thieves!

"—Emilia, come," she heard Arthur calling, offering his hand. But as she took it, her grip slipped, unable to hold onto him. She saw him thrown into the next car, with armed thieves standing around him, holding guns and swords.

She had to save him. She needed to stay close to him. Why…? He had become something she had decided was important to her. But who was Arthur in her heart?
