Aeris's POV:
I woke up and found myself in his embrace and he was gently caressing my face. I hate to admit but it felt good. Wait! This man is the enemy and he's dangerous. I shouldn't even be in the same room as him.
I immediately slapped his hand away and it startled him. When I told him to let go of me and tried to struggle out of his embrace, he suddenly hugged me tightly. I couldn't tell why so I asked, "What do you think you're doing".
The answer he gave me shocked me. He said that he wanted to make sure this isn't a dream. Like seriously,does he say this to every woman to make them feel flattered. It's not like I am the first woman he ever dated.
But he looked so emotional. He is devastatingly handsome and he's rich so it can't be that. Could it be that he's that bad in that area that, no girl likes him.
He then asked "Is that the first thing that came into your mind?"
It suddenly hit me that I must've said it out loud.
Then he sarcastically said, "Maybe I can show you how good I am". Even though he said it sarcastically, somehow,he sounded serious too.
"Wait, what do you mean by…"I tried to ask. Before I could process the situation and finish my question, I suddenly felt his lips on mine.
His peach lips were warm and somehow felt good. When I tried to say 'stop', he suddenly let his tongue in. To be honest, when his tongue intertwined with mine, I had goose bumps all over me 'cause it felt so good.
I had a sudden urge to kiss him back. In fact I almost did. But when I remembered that he was an enemy, I bit his tongue hard. He stopped kissing me and looked at me shocked .
I took my chance and got out of his embrace and ran to the bathroom. I locked the door and leaned on it panting . I gradually squatted down. This man was something else.
For the past six years, I have never touched a man before. But his kiss felt good and I wanted more . I know I'm not supposed to be saying this but I don't lie to myself. That's one rule I have for myself.
He turned me on with one kiss. He's the one who's supposed to fall for me not vice versa. I have to keep my distance. But if I don't get close, I might not get him to trust me and fall for me to an extent that he'll tell me everything I want to know.
I have just 30 days to do that and it seems like it won't be hard since he's already showing interest in me. I just hope he won't give me a hard time. If he do, I'll just get him drunk and get him to tell me.That's risky but the mission can't wait.
I didn't want to take too long or he might get suspicious. Or he might think I was recovering from the kiss because I liked it. Anyway, I freshened up and dried my hair. I went out in a bathrobe because I was in so much hurry that I forgot to bring clothes along with me to the bathroom.
When I went out, He was lying on the bed. While I was picking the clothes he suddenly stood up and tried to get close to me. I couldn't think of any excuse so I said whatever came into my mind.
"Go take a shower. You stink." I said doubting that he will obey. I was expecting him to scold at me for biting his tongue when he kissed me. But to my utter surprise , he actually did as I said. And he didn't even say anything. Who was this guy?
I dressed up and sat on the bed thinking about what just happened. Somehow, I have to set boundaries and still make him fall for me so he can trust me. I really couldn't figure out how to do that.For now maybe I should just ignore him.
I was lost in thoughts when I heard the shower turn off. I immediately dashed out of the room and went downstairs to go to work. I was so looking forward to seeing Lina so I can give her a good beating for writing those nonsense.
When I was almost outside , his butcher blocked my way. I asked why and he said
"Madam,I've been given instructions not to let you out under any circumstances."
"What?!!!" I exclaimed.
"Please don't make my job hard for me madam. As soon as you set a toe outside, I'll be as good as dead." He pleaded.
I felt sorry for him and beside, I could always sneak out.So I nodded and turned around. He led me to the dinner hall and the magnificent table of yesterday was no where to be found.There was a small circular table with just two chairs facing each other. I guess I had to eat fast and go somewhere else.
Unfortunately, right after I took three bites, he appeared right in front of me. I gasped when I saw him. He was wearing a casual wear . It was so casual and simple that he didn't look like a mafia boss at all. His hair was left uncombed and scattered. But somehow it made him look so handsome.
Wait what! Snap out of it Aeris. What am I thinking? The simplest way to get out of this situation is to just get out of there. So I stood up to go as soon as he tried to sit even though my stomach was literally yelling at me.
He suddenly took my hand and pulled me back. He held my shoulder and turned me around to face him. I guess his patience finally ran out and he was going to at least scold me.He then held my face and said
"I'm sorry baby girl. I shouldn't have stole a kiss from you. I promise I'll never touch you again against your will. Forgive me?"
I gasped. I was shocked. How low was this man willing to stoop just to win this challenge. But actually I could use this to my advantage. If I ask him about the mafia he'll get suspicious. So I will rather end that annoying name.
"Fine I'll forgive you only under one condition." I said trying to look as serious as possible.
"What is it baby girl?"He asked.
"Stop calling me baby girl! That's the condition." I said frowning so I could look serious.
"That'll be hard but I guess I'll try."He said seriously so I believed him.
"Okay I forgive you." I said.
"Eat fast princess. We have a long day ahead."He said smiling like an idiot.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
He didn't reply but said "You ask too many questions."
