The Ashen Claw Lynx's once-smoky gray pelt began to shift, mottling with streaks of obsidian black, as if molten rock was coursing through its veins. The fur along its shoulders and spine darkened, transforming into hardened, stone-like ridges that radiated heat, almost as if volcanic rock had burst through its skin.
The transformation continued as its claws elongated, now tipped with molten edges. Its eyes glowed like twin orbs of fire in this form, casting an intense, predatory gaze on Sol.
"Lava channeling…" Sol's frown deepened.
The main reason humans could not channel magic through their bodies was because the human body was too difficult to handle the power of the elements, and that was why the body tempering technique was for.
It strengthened the body enough to allow humans to channel magic through their body, however, there was a limit to what they could achieve.
