The Ashen claw lynx let out a ferocious growl as its gray fur turned orange while the ground beneath its feet. With a resounding bang, the Lynx shot forward like a missile, heading directly for Sol.
Shadow step!
With his hands behind him, Sol gallantly stepped into the shadow beside him, instantly fading from view. The lynx struck his position with a frown as its eyes darted around but failed to find its target.
With Sol's immense control over mana and world energy, he didn't leave mana leakages that could be used to track his movements.
This was a common mistake rookies make on the battlefield.
To cast magic, one needed to accumulate mana and visualize the spell. Weak mages fail to understand that when unleashing a spell, there is bound to be a release of residual mana. The ability to mold mana around their spell is something only a skilled magus could accomplish.
