The academy did not attempt to hide its preferential treatment for high-ranking students like the pillars. The pillars didn't have to attend normal classes like others, instead, they were given a personal tutor who focused on their efforts and knowledge.
This tutor was selected based on their Major specialization. Students had to choose from Forge masters, alchemists, healers, wardens, war mages, and finally, magic knights.
Sol picked Magic Knight, while Cedric chose War Mage. While the other specialization areas were much safer, Cedric aspired to be a skilled fighter like Sol.
While students could also minor in other specializations, they were advised to focus on one path and achieve mastery.
Since Sol had a tutor who could train him at the Hail family residence, he never had reason to leave. He also stopped Cedric from going to the academy for security reasons.
