Sol kept silent, his mind in turmoil and his pride hurting as he rode back home in his carriage with Cedric seated beside him, spilling praises of Sol's amazing talent.
If Sol hadn't promised to keep this boy alive, he would have shoved this kid off the carriage already.
Their carriage abruptly stopped, followed by the neighs of the horses. Sol stopped out of his carriage and to his surprise, two familiar figures were blocking his path, their carriages and guards left by the roadside.
"Kids, always very dramatic." Cedric cursed as he got off the carriage and approached them.
Gin was the first to step forward and bow lightly with his fists cupped. It was unusual for him to show such respect to anyone, especially someone he considered a rival.
"What could have shaken the grandson of the great Stonehammer Family that would make him bow to a mere peasant?" Sol asked with a mocking smile.
