Everyone within La Gris City was left in awe as golden energy slowly erected a cathedral around the city. Father Benedict had left his initiates to draw up the necessary magic arrays needed to cast a large-scale version of the Tier 1 light spell while he dealt with the vampire.
This spell was cast just in case he failed to capture the vampire, never did he expect he would be defeated by it.
Casting a large-scale spell like this required six initiates of the vigil, leaving behind only two more. One of those two was the young prodigy Father Benedict had come here for, and the other was the prodigy's best friend.
The youth had long golden hair, tied back into a ponytail. He was dressed in golden robes, completely different from the white and gold Father Benedict wore.
This youth was Cyrus Light, famed to be the greatest talent of the Highmen in the last millennium, nearly rivaling that of the Vigilant Sovereign.
