Just as Damon had predicted, two people were reported missing by the city guards. Following Damon's orders, Lord Ross declared a curfew and placed his best soldiers on guard. However, the injured vampire found a way to kill two guards.
Following Damon's instructions, there was a search and by afternoon the corpses of the two guards were found. Receiving the news Damon and Lord Ross let out sighs of relief because it meant the vampire was in desperate need of blood for his regeneration, it killed its victims instead of turning them.
With the sun out, it could not operate, so Damon had a chance of stopping it before the situation worsened.
After resting for nearly forty hours, Damon had recovered considerably. Seated at the edge of his bed, he glanced at the window, taking note of the setting sun.
"Nervous?" Valysara barked with her puppy eyes pinned on Damon.
