"What is this?" Michael gasped in shock.
He has experienced their feelings before, but not to this magnitude. The last time he felt this was the strange phenomenon that killed Danger and the rest of their hostages.
Outside that, he knew nothing more about this malicious presence that was powerful enough to influence the environment.
While Michael was lost in thought, Duke Hail was deeply shaken. While he wasn't amongst those who fought at Blood Mountain, he once came across the Dark Lord when he was still the benefactor of the Griffith Empire.
Sensing that man's presence, once again, filled him with dread. He could not help but wonder why the presence of a dead man was being felt on the battlefield.
"Could he truly have returned? But why would he fight the fox if it is truly the Dark Lord?" Duke Hail was confused.
Duke Hail needed to identify the person behind this magic and report it to the royal family. But then, another thought crossed his mind, which made him shiver and silently sit back down.
If he goes over there and finds out the person behind this magic, what next?
Could he win?
Could he escape?
If that man's identity is revealed, how far would he go to keep it hidden?
Can the Valtheris Kingdom endure his wrath?
There is a time to act and a time to observe. Duke Hail quickly concluded observing was the best option in this situation, especially since he didn't know what he was dealing with.
….. Meanwhile...
"Silent magic." Marquis Marlow frowned.
There was no chant from Damon, so no one expected him to have prepared his defense beforehand. More importantly, how did he use a tier-one spell to stop the power of a tier 3 combination spell?
"As a parting gift, I will bestow one last piece of knowledge on you before obliterating you." Damon's disdainful voice boomed from the safety of his devil's embrace.
"The ability to use spirit magic does not grant silent magic talent. It simply gives you an immense comprehension of the magical world that you do not need incantations to visualize your spells. But when you do use it… Hehehehe ... Let me demonstrate." Damon's diabolic chuckles turned Hector pale with fear.
"Run! Run anywhere! Just get out of here, everyone!" Hector yelled fearfully.
After serving the dark army for millenniums, Hector understood the nature of the Dark Lord and his intentions at certain moments. They only traded blows with Damon because he was in the mood for some games but right now he simply wanted to end things.
Everything dies when he gets this way.
"It's too late, Hector, nothing can escape Death." Damon scoffed as a massive dark green magic array appeared above the Forbidden Palace, covering the entire mountain.
"Darkness crawl from realms unseen, weave your curse in blackened sheen. Drain their might and seal their fate, weaken all by death's cold weight!" Damon hissed disdainfully as the magic array revealed a dangerous glow.
Tier 3 Curse Magic: Withering Veil
Instantly the entire mountain was enveloped by a dark, ominous mist that drains the strength, vitality, and magical power of all living things within.
Those caught within the cursed fog experience crippling weakness slowed reflexes, and a deep sense of despair. Their physical and magical abilities are significantly reduced, making them easy targets for further attacks or incapacitation.
Devil's Embrace vanished, revealing Damon's figure gallantly standing under the cursed magic array. He watched people, male, female, young, old, human, and fox spirit struggle.
The weaker ones collapsed on the spot, and only powerful people like noble clan heads remained conscious under the effect of this spell.
Hector coughed up a mouthful of blood, his hand grasping his chest tightly as he struggled to get to his feet. He caught sight of a figure gracefully levitating through the air, shrouded in Damon's spirit magic.
The graceful figure was pulled to his side by an invisible force, and under the moonlight, her identity was revealed to him.
"Sister, save your brother this last time!" Hector pleaded shamelessly.
Seeing Valysara resting in Damon's gentle embrace, Hector felt hope. He finally had someone who could save him from Damon's wrath.
"Sister, he killed mother. I'm the only family you have left, save me!" Hector kowtowed while crying loudly.
However, Valysara said nothing and just watched him beg blankly. After a while, she turned to Damon and gently caressed his chin before speaking.
"Your power is running dry, end this fast." Valysara said before burying her face in his chest.
"As you wish, my queen." Damon smiled cruelly at Hector, who was still dumbfounded by what he heard.
Snap!
With a snap of his finger, an immense dark green flame resulted from his body, expanding rapidly. The expanding hellfire bore the shape of a skull, while loud, eerie laughter echoed from all corners of the world.
"Hak: Hellfire." Damon whispered as he gently pushed Valysara deeper into his embrace.
The massive green skull descended, smashing into the Forbidden Palace rooftop, obliterating the entire building in an instant. The mighty brothel that could be seen from all corners of the kingdom was consumed in raging green flames.
All four noble clan heads were caught in the flames, their screams drowned in the cries of the courtesans and customers burning in the building.
{There were innocent customers in that building. You didn't have to destroy everything!} The voice argued.
'So?' Damon shrugged, his gaze following a moving figure.
It was Hector shooting through the wind, his nine black and red tails fluttered in the wind as he retreated cautiously.
Unfortunately, he couldn't go far!
Under the cursed array above, he could barely stay airborne, talk more of escaping. Hector knew Damon didn't try to pursue him because he knew he wouldn't go far.
"I took your sister, I killed your murder…. I will wipe out every single soul in this place and I will take your life. It's over Hector, I have won." Damon declared coldly.
