I woke up this morning, somehow I feel like this morning was the best among the mornings I've ever had. I'm finally going to Harvard University in Boston! I got out of bed, walked to the window, and threw open the curtains. . Seeing the beautiful sunshine, I was compelled to believe that this day was blessed.
I wonder how he's doing, my wonder boy. We promised to go to the same college when we were little. I wonder what he looks like? oh my god, what if he doesn't remember me?. Oh well, am sure I will recognise him at first glance.
"So, Wait for me wonder boy". I whispered to myself.
"Bella…you're gonna be late!". My mom yelled, snapping me back to reality.
"Am up!" I yelled back. I gazed at the clock in my room and panicked. Shit, it was already 8:00 AM and my flight was leaving in just thirty minutes. I quickly dashed to the bathroom. It wasn't up to five minutes before I was out.
"Bella!" my mom yelled again, her voice laced with frustration.
"Come on Bella". A male voice called out, and I recognise that romantic tone. it was Justin; my boyfriend. We have been dating for 3 years now. Am actually glad he was here to see me off.
"Almost there!". I exclaimed, putting on my favorite white polo shirt and a pair of short jeans. yeah I like shorts. Almost eighty percent of my clothes are shorts. I headed downstairs, where my mom's initial scowl transformed into a warm, gentle smile as she took in my appearance.
"You look adorable". Justin said as he walked up to me and kissed me on my forehead and hugged me. He's probably shy to kiss me on my lips since my mom was here.
"Are you ready, Bella?". My mom called out. I nodded. She smiled. Justin had already loaded my luggage which I packed last night, in his car.
We drove off to the Thailand airport, yes my mom and I moved to Thailand from New York after my parents divorced. My dad already got married to another woman named Jenna; I hated her. Anytime I visit on summer time she just had a knack for getting on my nerves. I already alerted my dad about my trip to Harvard yesterday which he seem happy about, but the least could do was to call me and wished me good luck today. We arrived at the airport.
"Bella, remember what we discussed last night, right?" my mom asked, and I nodded.
"Don't forget, okay? No bad influences, no late nights, no..."
"Mom, I got it," I interrupted, knowing that if I let her continue, she'd lecture me nonstop.
"I'm running late,"I said.
"Alright," she said, pausing to take in my appearance one last time before sending me off.
"Just keep your head up and don't forget to call me when you get there, okay" She hugged me gently, then turned and walked away, leaving Justin and me alone together.
"So..this is it huh". He finally said breaking off the awkward silent as he smiled at me. Am not gonna lie, Justin is actually a sweet guy. His curly brown hair, nice jaws, handsome face, not to mention he's smart. He's just too good for me.
"Yeah I guess". I said looking shy.
"I'm going to miss you," he said, walking up to me and kissing me with his warm, soft lips that sent shivers down my spine.
"I'm going to miss you too," I said, as he hugged me tightly. We had agreed to make our long-distance relationship work, and in this moment, I felt like we were meant to be together.
We waved our final goodbyes before i strode into the plane. Hours went by and I finally arrived at Boston Logan airport and made my way to Harvard university. I stood in front of the prestigious institution, admiring it. I still can't believe that I actually got accepted into Harvard. I turned around hurriedly and I suddenly bumped into someone and landed my ass flat on the ground.
"Why don't you watch were you're turning next time." He said, his British accent evident. Something in me love the way he spoke, or maybe it's just my love for British accent. But it was all ruined when he started walking away, I couldn't see his face because it was already evening here. That stupid jerk, the least he could do was to give me a hand up.
"Why don't you watch where you're walking next time!, jerk". I yelled but the part where I called him jerk was a whisper and I think he heard it. He stopped and cocked his neck sideways.
"What did you just say?". He asked. His velvety voice sending shivers down my spine.
