After we laughed at our clumsiness that ended with Hana's cake getting smeared on Danbi's nose, it was about time I told her about the changes. While I was so anxious to make peace with Danbi and nervous about how she would react when she saw me again and felt heartbroken when she did not want to talk to me earlier and left me standing by the door, I had to say I felt a hint of excitement when I thought about telling Danbi about the news that all the craziness that came with Dad's business was now over.
But before that, I had to apologize properly.
"Danbi, I am really sorry"
The afterglow of laughter on Danbi's face slowly faded away and she asked me,
"About what?"
"Everything"
"Well, I wasn't expecting your apology though…"
