After some moments of hesitation and secretly sulking over the fact that I wasn't the first one, I decided I might as well just come out and say it.
"Do you think… a boy and a girl can be friends?"
What a sappy thing to ask, and why am I even doing this? I thought to myself.
Minsu seemed to take it sincerely though and pondered about it for a few seconds, and then responded.
"To be honest, I think it's hard. Especially when one of them actually, erm, like the other"
"Right…"
So that's how it was. Maybe there isn't a way to go back to how it was for us.
I felt a sad pang in my heart thinking back on the days like when we first met at the karaoke and going to those otaku events, hanging out like good friends.
Life felt much simpler back then.
"So, if anything made you uncomfortable, I'm sorry because it's me who's the cause of this", Minsu continued nevertheless.
