It was actually Hechan who brought this madness to an end, or at least he brought the start of the end.
Hechan picked up a nearby chair and swiftly moved to whack Chin on his back with it. Chin fell to the ground in pain with a short squeal and was writhing about. It's not like Chin was a strong dude in any way, but he was still the only guy who was in the brawl. Once Chin was out of the picture, it wasn't too difficult for Hechan's boys to pull Miran out of the tangled mess.
Ajin tried to approach the group again to try to stop them, but Hechan gave a halt sign to Ajin and she duly obliged, freezing. After Miran was also pulled out of the group, it was just Gina vs. Three - Soojin, Sunmi, and Yuji. Gina was still holding on to Soojin's collar like a dog that won't let go of his bite. She was throwing wild punches whether they connected or not, and regardless of how much beating she was taking herself. Doojun and Dobin finally managed to loosen Gina's grip on Soojin, and Sunmi and Yuji quickly moved to grab each arm of Gina.
Once the fight reached this stage, there was no coming back for a brave and reckless girl. Soojin was now free to punch and kick Gina as she pleased while her bitches were holding the target in place, preventing her from fighting back anymore.
I did not fail to notice that during all this, Hechan only actually hit Chin and did not lay his own hands on the girls. He obviously wanted to protect Soojin and punish Gina, but he did not want to dirty his hands, so to speak. I quicklytheorized that no matter how horrible Hechan was, he wasn't going to use physical force on a girl, at least for now.
It was much too late, but I felt now was the time that I finally do something. I quickly ran over and approached Soojin from behind. She was too occupied with landing hit after hit on Gina, who was now unable to defend herself. I needed something quick and impressive that would end the fight straight away without Yuji and Sunmi shifting their focus on me.
As it usually happens, all I needed to do was to get in the right position and Jenn's body took over to apply the action.
From behind, I wrapped one arm around Soojin's neck and grabbed this arm with my other arm to pull back hard, resulting in a rear naked choke.
One… two… three…
I somehow 'remembered' that the average time it takes for this to work was around eight to nine seconds. After about three seconds Sunmi and Yuji jumped on to me to pull me away from Soojin, but I held my choke tight.
Four… five… six…. seven-
Then I felt Soojin's body go limp.
Go to sleep.
I let go of my grip and Soojin fell to the ground unconscious. Sunmi and Yuji gave up on trying to attack me and knelt to check on Soojin. It was only a temporary sleep though and she regained her consciousness in a few seconds, but she was too dazed and confused to do anything immediately after this.
I went over to Gina to check if she was okay, which she wasn't. I looked over to Ajin and she was finally moving into the scene. I signaled to Ajin I was taking Gina outside and helped her get back on her feet putting my arms below her armpit. Miran was trying to come close and say something but I shushed her away and just walked Gina out of the classroom. It looked like she got a little cut above her right eye and there was blood dripping down from it.
I looked over to Hechan and he didn't look particularly mad at how things ended. On the contrary, he actually looked somewhat impressed and happy at the little show I managed to pull off.
Fuck off, you bastard…
"Gina, you ok?", I finally spoke to her once we were fully outside the classroom. There was a not-so-small crowd gathered by the door. It was mostly kids from other classes who came to enjoy looking at the fight but they quickly moved aside to let us through.
"… hang on…"
Gina put her palm on her mouth and with a roll of her tongue, pushed out a broken tooth onto it.
"Fuck… my tooth"
"Oh shit…"
"What the fuck were you doing? If you could pull off something like that you should have stopped them earlier"
"I'm sorry… I was too late…"
"Yeah, whatever… thanks anyway"
Huh? She actually thanked me?
"You…you are welcome"
"Where are we going?"
"I will bring you to the infirmary"
"We gonna get in trouble"
"Well, let's just say you fell off the stairs. I'm sure Ajin will sort something out"
"That bitch didn't do anything either"
"Gina-, what were you thinking? Taking them all on by yourself?"
"Duh, obviously I wasn't thinking straight"
"That was pretty reckless, you know…"
"I just got a message from Miran saying Seyun was getting rekt, so I came running to help"
"Why?"
"What do you mean, why?! That wasn't right, was it? I mean what they were doing to him"
"Of course, you are right, but-, you really put your neck on the line for this"
"Well… I just wanted to help out one of the Manga Club guys"
"Just like that?"
"Yeah, just like that… and I can't stand bullies"
"Me neither"
"Says the girl who didn't do anything about it until I came"
"I'm sorry…"
"It's alright. You did well in the end"
Then we both looked at each other and Gina gave me the first genuine smile I'd seen from her. It was just very unfortunate that half her face was covered in blood and her smile revealed one of the bottom teeth missing.
