Chapter 7 - 7

**Chapter 7*The city of Zombo had become a battlefield. The sound of gunshots and screams echoed through the streets as Don Alessandro and Gabino's men clashed in a desperate struggle for supremacy. Every corner became a war zone, a territory stained with the blood of men fighting for honor and revenge.

Don Alessandro, still consumed by the pain of the loss of his sons, led his men with a fury that made him almost supernatural. But for an instant, his mind wandered to his wife, Isabella, who was locked in eternal mourning for the death of her sons. Isabella was a strong woman, but the tragedy had left her in a state of deep despair, a void that seemed impossible to fill.

While his men fought in the streets, Don Alessandro left his wife alone, believing that she was safe in the mansion. However, Gabino, always one step ahead, had other plans. He watched the house, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Isabella, in a moment of weakness, stood up to drink water. As she filled the glass, her mind still clouded with pain, Gabino appeared behind her like a shadow. With one swift movement, he strangled her, making her faint in his arms. Her body, once so vibrant, was now inert, a trophy he was determined to take.

Gabino dragged Isabella's body to the living room and, with a cruel smile, left a message for Don Alessandro. With a pen that seemed to dance in his hand, he wrote the words that would echo like a curse:

*"I have your wife. What will you do? If you fight back, I will cut off every piece of her skin and send it to you as a gift. If you do not surrender, she will be dead too, with all her dismembered body parts in a box for you. The choice is yours, Don Alessandro."*

With that, Gabino left, taking Isabella with him, leaving the message as a deadly warning.

When Don Alessandro returned from the meeting with his captains and soldiers, the tension in the air was palpable. He had expected to find his wife, but when he entered the room, what he saw froze him. Gabino's message was there, prominent, like a scream in the silence. He picked up the note, and his hands shook as he read the words.

Pain and anger combined into an uncontrollable rage. "No, no, no!" he screamed, his voice cracking with agony. The image of his wife in danger settled in his mind like poison, and despair turned into overwhelming fury.

Don Alessandro knew that Gabino had crossed a line that could not be undone. What had been a war between families had now become a fight for his wife's life. He would not give in, he would not surrender. Isabella's life was in his hands, and he would do whatever it took to rescue her.

With his heart pounding with rage and the desire for revenge burning in his chest, Don Alessandro summoned his men. "We're going after them," he ordered, his voice firm and resolute. "This war will not end until I have my wife back and Gabino pays for what he did."

The city was about to become an even bloodier scene as the battle between Don Alessandro and Gabino intensified, each side determined to win at any cost.
