Chapter 246 - Chapter 246: Mewtwo's Transformation

Mew initially didn't want to fight Mewtwo because it didn't enjoy fighting and didn't see Mewtwo as an enemy. Although Mewtwo was a Pokémon cloned by humans using Mew's genes, to some extent, Mewtwo, possessing self-awareness, was also an independent Pokémon.

Because their genes were highly similar, Mew even considered Mewtwo as its child.

Therefore, during the battle, Mew initially didn't use its full power, hoping Mewtwo would calm down after venting its frustrations.

However, as the battle intensified, Mew had to increase its power and was shocked to discover that Mewtwo's strength was constantly growing!

This growth rate was unprecedented. Mew had witnessed countless Pokémon throughout its existence, but none could compare to Mewtwo's rapid development.

No... Upon encountering Mewtwo again, Mew realized its initial assessment was incorrect. Mewtwo wasn't improving but was continuously stimulating its potential through battle, gaining control over power it hadn't fully mastered before.

The current Mewtwo wasn't at its peak strength yet!

The longer the battle continued, the more astonished Mew became. Initially, it had viewed Mewtwo as a mere clone, its child, but now it realized the terrifying power hidden within Mewtwo. Perhaps... it was qualified to be a god?

Mewtwo felt an endless surge of power within itself. The more it fought Mew, the more invigorated it became. Driven by this sensation, Mewtwo continued to increase its energy output, and the power it could control grew stronger and stronger!

The fortress crumbled, large chunks of debris fell, and the floor cracked under the immense force.

With the help of their Pokémon, Ash and the others ascended into the air, observing the battle and witnessing the destruction caused by the clash between Mew and Mewtwo. Fear gripped their hearts.

"What kind of monster is this? How can it be so terrifying? Even Mew can't defeat it!" Hiroshi, despite having experienced Mewtwo's power firsthand, was still terrified by the stalemate with Mew. What kind of monster were they facing?

"I want to get out of here! If we stay, we'll all die if Mew loses!" Hiroshi's fear overwhelmed him, and he ordered his Gyarados to escape.

Yusho and Luna hesitated, and due to their indecision, they could only watch as Hiroshi fled on Gyarados, unable to follow immediately.

"Ash, should we go?" Brock looked to Ash for guidance, trusting his judgment.

"No... stay here," Ash replied, glancing at Hiroshi's retreating figure but focusing on the duel between Mew and Mewtwo, whose power far exceeded what was shown in the anime.

The others were stunned by Ash's decision, but Brock and Misty didn't question it. Yusho and Luna, however, remained puzzled and confused.

Meanwhile, Hiroshi, having reached the edge of the storm, trembled at the sight of the terrifying thunderclouds. Remembering his safe passage earlier, he gritted his teeth and ordered Gyarados to charge through.

Yusho and Luna observed Hiroshi's attempt. As he approached the thunderclouds, they felt a flicker of hope.

But then, a scream pierced through the air from within the thunderclouds, startling Yusho and Luna. They looked towards the source of the sound in horror.

"With our strength, we couldn't pass through the thundercloud. When we came in earlier, the reason we weren't attacked by the thunder was Mewtwo's control. Now, Mewtwo's attention is focused on Mew, and it doesn't have the energy to control the thunderclouds anymore," Ash explained.

Yusho and Luna were surprised by Ash's insight, even in such a chaotic situation. However, they couldn't help but feel dissatisfied that Ash hadn't warned Hiroshi.

"Ash, why didn't you remind him?" Misty, with her youthful innocence, asked directly.

"Some people, even if you tell them, they won't listen, and..." Ash trailed off, looking in Hiroshi's direction. He saw Hiroshi, looking worse for wear with burn marks from the lightning, returning on Tentacruel.

"Look, as long as you don't go too deep and return in time, there's no problem," Ash said. He knew Hiroshi wouldn't heed his warning, and the humans in this world possessed greater physical resilience than those in his previous life

After seeing Haixiong reappear, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. However, the battle between Mew and Mewtwo had reached a fever pitch.

As they used more and more energy, large, dark clouds gathered, blocking the sun. Lightning flickered within the clouds. The once calm sea churned, and the waves grew fierce and terrifying. The area Mewtwo controlled was becoming increasingly unstable.

Mew and Mewtwo collided again and were knocked back tens of meters. This time, they didn't rush to attack each other again but prepared to use their moves.

Psychic energy activated, causing twisted fluctuations to appear in the space and spread rapidly. Mew and Mewtwo used Psychic simultaneously, trying to overpower each other with their mastery of the Psychic-type law. The invisible waves collided, emitting strange buzzing sounds that made Ash and the others uncomfortable.

"So strong... is this Mew... ?" Mewtwo looked at Mew with an excited smile, continuously outputting energy and trying to overwhelm Mew's Psychic powers, but it couldn't gain the upper hand.

Mew's expression grew serious. Mewtwo's power was increasing, and even though Mew was using its true power, it couldn't suppress Mewtwo. Mew didn't know what the outcome would be if this continued.

The energy collision caused the islands below to crack, and seawater poured upwards, forming a massive tornado. The entire sea area looked like the end of the world.
