It's been 3 months since I got fired at my last job and Im yet to get a job. I have submitted a lot of job application in different working firms and was yet to be called by any.
Today is on Thursday and iam kinda feeling low so I think I'll just download some relaxing songs and and just chill before I dose off to bed as tomorrow I have been booked by a friend to go do her laundry and get paid though not enough but much better than nothing.
Kknock! Kknock! Lina ! Lina open the door it's Kay! As I was slowly drifting away I heard my sis calling me and I woke up to go open for her. "Hey WhatsApp I was about to sleep anything you need ? " I asked her before letting her inside the house (a single room ).
"No nothing actually I just wanted to chill here with you and oh I brought you some supplies from home". She said looking all eager to see my reaction once I open the bag but I was too stressed out and I just kept it aside and went back to bed. Kay just switched on the tv and made herself at home I ignored all the background noise and luckily ended up sleeping since she woke me up at 8 as she was leaving so I could close the door. Once I was alone again I noticed a 100 nite left by my sister at the table, I sighed and thought of what to do with it then I quickly went and bought some airtime then started browsing. I got bored on TikTok then I switched to Instagram. Andas I was scrolling through I bumped into clothlibe boutique and decided to check it out. Their prices were quite friendly and I took some screenshots for future use Justin case I get a good job I would buy myself some of their pieces. I kept scrolling and noticed that they had recently opened a shoe boutique and it wasn't even a month old so I decided to try my luck and send my application. I then continued to YouTube as at this point I wasn't as hopeful as before and decided to download a few videos here and there before my data expires. The night went by and in the morning I went to do my friends laundry got paid and went back home after catching up with her on a few things. Once at my place I took a quick shower and decided to check what was inside the bag my sis brought for me. I boiled some of the noodles that were there and saved the rest for later. As I was having the noodles I decided to browse and low and behold I received a notification from Pinecrest boutique and they booked me an interview for a job on Monday. I kept re-reading the text and was too excited to even finish my food I checked their location which was at the capital and since I had no transport fee as I had paid off some of my debts with the money that I had made I decided to go home at my parents to share the news with them and hopefully get the transport fee from them. Just as I was closibg my door I received a call from a new number and when I received it was from Pinecrest calling to confirm my attendance at the interview. I calmly said yes but my God and I knew just how much excited I was for that call. Just imagining of how desperate I was for a job I decided to just kneel down and pray that it's a real job and I'm gonna get in. I went home super excited and broke the news to my parents and siblings though they had their doubts since it's was an online based job but I still choose to believe in it. My mom offered to take me there since I wasn't familiar with the capital.
I just couldn't wait for Monday to come I was way to excited that on Sunday I actually couldn't find sleep at night I kept waking up in the middle of the night to check the time .
