"How can you do this to me? All this time I serve you and this is what I get? Why did you do this?"...
"Because I don't need you anymore." The figure's voice was cold and unfeeling. "People are merely toys to me; I play with them, use them, and discard them when they no longer serve a purpose."
"And you are no different from them, Yash..."
"Did you call him? What did he say?" Yash asked his friend Shruti, frustration and anger evident in his tone.
"Yeah, I did, but he didn't pick up," Shruti replied, tapping her foot impatiently.
"And even though Amay hasn't got here yet, they both frustrate me too much sometimes. We'll be late to the lecture if don't arrive soon," Yash said loudly, his voice filled with irritation.
"Hey, fat ass, I'm already here. Who frustrates you, huh?" Amay slapped Yash's back aggressively, his face twisted into a scary expression.
"Hehe! Hehe! No one! No one! I'm talking about Kalpak. He always frustrates me a lot. He's late again today," Yash replied, forcing a smile of relief, feeling like he narrowly avoided disaster.
"Yeah... I see... I thought you were talking about me. Anyway, where is Kalpak?" Amay asked Shruti, his suspicion and curiosity clear.
"I don't know where he is. I called him, but he didn't pick up. You try calling him," Shruti answered, her irritation showing.
"Wait! Wait! I'll call him," Yash replied.
The call rang, and finally, Kalpak picked up. "Mofo, where are you? We've been standing here for so long," Yash asked angrily before hanging up.
"What did he say? Where is he?" Shruti asked Yash curiously.
"He's at the back gate entrance. He"s coming," Yash replied, still annoyed.
Kalpak arrived, exhausted and breathing heavily. Everyone was confused about what had happened to him.
"Bro... what happened? Why are you so exhausted? Did you run here?" Yash asked Kalpak, puzzled and concerned.
Kalpak took a moment to catch his breath before replying, "Huff... huff... yeah... yeah... I was running shit, that was exhausting. When did you get here? We both left at the same time when I called you," Kalpak asked, still huffing, and looking at Amay curiously.
"He just got... ggg..." Yash started, but Amay interrupted by secretly punching Yash in the ribs, shutting his mouth.
"I got here half an hour ago. You're late again, bitch," Amay replied to Kalpak, his tone accusatory.
"Fuck you, bro! That really hurts," Yash said, wincing in pain and dropping to his knees.
"Really...? I got stuck in traffic. That's why I'm late," Kalpak replied, trying to excuse himself.
"Huh!? Dumbass, stop giving us stupid excuses. We know you weren't stuck in traffic. This is the same excuse you gave the teacher on your first day of college. Should I tell them about your first day? Should I?" Amay asked aggressively, glaring at Kalpak.
"Noooo! Don't! Please don't! I beg you, brooo!" Kalpak responded desperately, his face showing helplessness and fear as he joined his hands in a pleading gesture.
"I don't care, I'll still tell them," Amay said with an evil smile, looking at Kalpak and enjoying his discomfort.
"Amay, tell us the truth!" Yash and Shruti demanded, their eyes fixed on him.
"You guys aren't my friends. You're evil. I hate you all," Kalpak said, his face sad and hopeless in his eyes.
"Fuck you! We don't care about that! Amay, just start already," Yash replied with a forced smile, his tone careless but his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"I never saw a dumbass person in my whole life," Amay groaned, resting his head on Yash's shoulder in frustration. "First, he comes late to the lecture—literally at the end of it. And not only that, he takes late admission, like, after four months. How can someone be this late? And then a different teacher drops into the class—how embarrassing is that? Besides, he was mumbling and blundering while talking to the teacher. When she asked what subjects he's in, he said, 'I have to check.' I mean, how stupid is that? Not only that, he didn't bring a pen or notebooks. Oh, fuck, that's too dumb."
Yash tried to comfort him, but Amay was inconsolable.
"What else can you expect from me? I'm an introvert. I'm bad at communication. I get nervous and panic while talking to strangers. And the teacher's face scared me. When she asked me which department I'm from, I thought she was asking about which class division is mine. I thought they called it 'department' here. That's why I was confused. Don't blame me." Kalpak, on his knees and drawing something on the ground, explained in a sad, defensive tone.
"Yeah, I understand you're an introvert, but I've never seen a dumbass introvert. I've heard that introverted people are smart and intelligent, but you're the dumbass introvert." Amay let out a forced laugh.
"Cheecheechee, I didn't expect that from you, Kalpak! Cheecheechee!" Yash said, his expression disappointed.
"You both are hoes!" Kalpak retorted sadly, still drawing on the ground.
"Mofo, stop drawing like a kid! You're a dumbass," Amay shouted in anger.
"I'm not; it's you," Kalpak replied gently in a slowed voice, continuing his drawing.
"You sister fuc—"
"OK! OK! Guys, that's enough. Stop teasing him, and Amay! Get up from Kalpak. You too, Yash. Why are you sitting on him?" Shruti instructed in anger, shouting at them.
Shruti sighed, glancing at her watch. "We really need to get going. The lecture starts in five minutes."
Amay nodded, his expression softening. "Yeah, let's go. We can't afford to be late again."
"Shruti, thanks. Otherwise, they both would have died by my hands today," Kalpak said confidently.
"Yeah, yeah," Shruti forced a smile. "Anyway, what is this? Why did you draw an eye symbol?" she asked, eyeing the symbol suspiciously.
"This? It's an underground mafia organization symbol. Forget about it; let's head to class," Kalpak replied casually.
They all headed to class, but Kalpak and Yash walked ahead, while Amay and Shruti trailed behind in two separate groups. Kalpak placed a hand on Yash's shoulder and whispered, "Did you see her? She's looking more beautiful than before. I'm in love with her, bro! And don't tell me you're also in love with her?" Kalpak asked, his eyes wide open, looking at Yash.
"Yeah, bro, yeah. I can't handle it, bro. She's so amazing and beautiful, making me fall in love with her every second. I just want her, bro!" Yash said desperately, his face contorted like a squished lemon as he looked at the sky.
Behind them, Amay and Shruti were also whispering. "Hey Shruti, did you tell him how you feel about him?" Amay asked curiously, glancing at Shruti from the side.
"Not yet. I don't know how he feels about me. He always treated me like a casual friend," Shruti replied in a sad tone, her eyes downcast.
"You should tell him as soon as possible; otherwise, you may regret it in the future. It doesn't matter if he has feelings or not; you just need to tell him. It's his decision, and whatever his answer is, you should respect it, accept it, and move on," Amay said with a serious face, his voice calm.
"Yeah, bro. I can't blame you; she is that beautiful that anyone can fall in love with her. I hope one day she will be mine. I hope!" Kalpak replied happily while looking at the sky.
"Yeah, bro. One day she will be ours," Yash said, leaning his head on Kalpak's shoulder, comforting him.
"Yeah, ours. But first, she's mine! I loved her before you did, so she's mine first, then yours!" Kalpak instructed Yash aggressively.
"How should I tell him? I don't have the courage to tell him. I don't know why, but I'm scared of getting rejected or maybe losing him," Shruti said, her face sad, her voice soft.
"Love is not about getting and losing. Love is about living, fulfilling, and losing oneself in someone," Amay said with a smile.
"I want to hug her, kiss her, and hold everything of hers. She's that awesome!" Yash said excitedly.
"Yeah, I wanted to! But in my opinion, the black Cadillac Lyriq is even more beautiful!" Kalpak responded, his excitement palpable.
"What the fuck broo?! There's a black one too? Show me!" Yash exclaimed, his curiosity and surprise evident as he eagerly awaited a glimpse of the car.
"Okay, okay, chill. Here you go. But remember, this black one is mine, not ours," Kalpak said with a smirk, handing over his phone.
"Fuck broo!, Damn.....!, that's awesome! It's beautiful! Ahh, I want one too! Anyway, let's ask them about their favorites," Yash said, his enthusiasm bubbling over.
"Hey, you two! What's your favorite car?" Kalpak called out curiously.
"Mine is an Honda Activa!" Shruti replied with a confident attitude, raising her eyebrows and hand.
"But that's a scooter ." Amay thought.
Kalpak and Yash exchanged glances and burst into laughter. "Women, hahahahah!"
"What happened? Why are you both laughing at me?" Shruti asked, her confusion evident.
"Haha....., Nothing! Nothing!, We're just dumbasses for asking you," Kalpak and Yash replied, still chuckling.
"Amay, you don't have to tell us now. Let us know after the lecture. We know how knowledgeable Dick you are about cars, and we're already late," Kalpak said, running up the stairs towards their class.
"Hurry up, you two! We must get to class before the teacher arrives, or he will fuck us without removing our pants.
And anyway why is Shruti's class on the ground floor while ours is on the fourth? This is complete inequality! I hate this university!" Yash shouted, panting as he ran.
"Dumbass! Her subjects are different from ours. That's why her class is on the ground floor," Amay shouted back.
"It's just an excuse to hide the truth, nothing else," Yash muttered under his breath, his face set in a straight line.
"Fucke—" Amay began to speak, but was interrupted by Kalpak.
"Shut up, you two! Good morning, sir! Kalpak greet his teacher.
"Huh!? What happened today how did you three got on time!?" teacher asked them curiously.
"hehe! Nothing sir! Nothing! Just felt like! Kalpak said witha forced smile.
"OK, Ok, now get in the class." Teacher told them.
"Thank God we made it in time. Now Just shut up and let's head into class," Kalpak instructed Yash and Amay in a whispered voice.
"Ahhh, I hate doing lectures!" Yash groaned, his voice tinged with sadness and disappointment.
"All students, I have an announcement!" The Vice Principal's voice resonated through the classroom. "On September 3rd, we will be holding our college's annual function. Those interested in participating, please inform your teacher. Additionally, I need two students to help manage the event alongside the teachers. Are there any volunteers?" He looked around curiously.
"Sir, do you see those two students in the back? You can take them," a teacher whispered in the Vice Principal's ear.
"Hey, you two in the back! Yes, you! You will handle the event management. What are your names?" the Vice Principal asked, pointing directly at them.
"Sir, Kalpak and Yash," they replied in unison.
"Meet me in my office after college," the Vice Principal instructed them before leaving the room.
"Why is it always us?" Yash exclaimed loudly, his voice filled with frustration and disappointment.
"I understand why they chose you, but why me? Sir, why did you suggest my name?" Kalpak asked the teacher angrily.
"I didn't mean to suggest you. I mentioned Amay and Yash, but the Vice Principal made a mistake," the teacher explained, trying to calm him down.
"That's not fair," Kalpak muttered in a disappointed tone, his shoulders slumping.
After the meeting, the all four of them gathered outside. Amay, smiling happily, asked curiously, "What did the Vice Principal say to you both?"
"Don't ask me bitch, I'm depressed now. I really hate my luck!" Yash exclaimed loudly, his face showing his dejection.
"There's both bad news and good news," Kalpak began with a forced smile. "The bad news is that we have to stay in college all day to manage and arrange everything. The good news is that we won't have to attend lectures until the event is over."
Suddenly, a beautiful and charming girl named Sofiya approached the group. She greeted everyone with a warm smile and asked Shruti for her notes.
Meanwhile, Amay and Yash were still arguing.
"Mofo, This is all your fault," Yash accused Amay, his voice rising.
"Fatass Fucker, It's not my fault, it's the teacher's mistake! Don't blame me hoe," Amay retorted angrily. Without warning, he grabbed Yash by the neck, pushing him down to his knees.
"Hey, calm down, both of you!" Shruti intervened, stepping between them.
Suddenly, while Yash and Amay were arguing, Sofia interjected, "Why do you boys always use such profane language?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Yash asked, confused by Sofia's sudden question.
"I mean, why do you boys always resort to bad words? It seems like there's always at least one curse word in every sentence you use. Can't you converse without insulting each other?" Sofia asked, her face a mix of curiosity and annoyance.
"Nah, we can't. It's our way of expressing ourselves," Yash began, his tone unwavering. "Each profane word carries a meaning, a feeling, an emotion, a sensation in our hearts when we use them. These words convey emotions that we can't express with any other vocabulary. Let me tell you, cursing is an art, and only true artists can master it. We are those artists, and it's something you can't understand."
Yash continued, "Every bad word is related to something—physical body parts, family members, animals, birds, the existent and non-existent, living and non-living things, and gender, among others. We know it's impossible for these things to actually happen, but when we say it, we grasp the feeling behind the words. We understand the emotions conveyed through each curse word we exchange. Every bad word has its own rhythm, like a musical note. For example, if I say someone is an 'asshole,' we all know he isn't literally one, though he might look like one. We know the reality, but we still say it because it's an emotional expression. That's why we use so much profanity," Yash explained passionately.
Everyone around Yash was stunned by his response. No one had expected such a detailed explanation from him, not even Amay, who was shocked by how passionate Yash was about the whole cursing matter.
"Yash, damn bro, if this question came up on an exam, you'd definitely ace it," Kalpak said, shaking Yash's hand in respect.
"I'm impressed by you. You're different and weird at the same time," Sofia remarked, her face showing genuine admiration.
"Yeah, yeah, I don't care about your opinion. Just remember this: from now on, don't disrespect those who curse. That person is an artist," Yash instructed Sofia firmly.
"Okay! I have to go now. See you tomorrow," Kalpak said, heading towards the exit.
"Heyyy! Wait, I'm coming too. See ya, guys. Let's meet tomorrow," Amay called out to Yash and Shruti as he followed Kalpak.
As they walked out, Amay put his hand on Kalpak's shoulder and asked curiously, "Hey bitch, did you tell her how you felt about her?"
