Chapter 2 - spinning story of love

For the first time in their lives, Zara and Zina found themselves on opposite sides. In the days that followed, neither could escape the tension that hung between them. Zina avoided the topic, hoping that it would somehow resolve itself, while Zara buried herself in work, trying to suppress the feelings of betrayal and confusion.

But the city had a way of making people confront their issues. One evening, weeks later, Zina couldn't hold it in any longer. She found Zara sitting alone on the balcony of their shared apartment, the Abuja skyline glittering in the background.

"Zara," Zina said softly, joining her, "I didn't know about Kunle. I swear, if I had known…"

Zara sighed, her posture stiff. "I know. Neither of us knew. But it doesn't make it any easier."

Zina sat down beside her. "I never wanted us to be in competition over something like this."

"I didn't either," Zara admitted, her voice quieter now. "But the truth is, we are. And I don't know how to fix that."

For a moment, they sat in silence, the city's hum surrounding them. Finally, Zina spoke, her voice trembling with vulnerability. "What if we just let him go? I mean… is he worth losing us?"

Zara looked at her sister, her twin, the person who had been by her side through everything. The answer, though difficult, was clear.

"No," Zara said, shaking her head. "He's not."

It wasn't easy, but they made the decision together. They would both let go of Kunle — not because they didn't care for him, but because their bond, their sisterhood, was far more important. In the end, love wasn't about winning or losing, it was about choosing what mattered most.

Kunle, for his part, understood and respected their decision. And though there was sadness in the ending, there was also relief, a sense that the twins had weathered yet another storm together.

The city continued to spin its stories of love and heartbreak, but for Zara and Zina, the dilemma had taught them a valuable lesson. No matter what life threw their way, they would always choose each other.
