Hearing him, Thor nodded as he asked, "Where is Loki?" He looked around, expecting answers.
Phil replied, "We don't know yet. We only know he came to attack us and will later return with an army."
Thor frowned. "Loki has no army," he said confidently.
"That's just his word," Phil shrugged. Thor fell silent, considering the possibilities.
"Maybe he made some friends after falling into space," Dave suggested with a casual shrug. Thor gave him a slow nod, acknowledging the idea.
"Alright, I will remain here and help you fight whatever army Loki is coming with," Thor said, his tone resolute.
And then added, "But Loki will still be punished in Asgard"
"Good. We just need our Tesseract back. You can deal with Loki after that," Phil said. Thor agreed with a serious expression.
Meanwhile, Dave silently thought to himself, 'I need to steal both the Tesseract and Loki's scepter. They're too valuable to leave with SHIELD or Asgard.' A plan was already forming in his mind.
'After all, I can't abandon my SHIELD-related mission just yet,' Dave mused inwardly, keeping his thoughts to himself while outwardly maintaining a calm demeanor.
"Ah, so you're Thor," Tony said, breaking the silence as Phil excused himself from the room.
"Yes, Thor Odinson. A pleasure to meet you, Midgardian," Thor replied with a dignified tone.
Tony smirked, sizing him up. "Would you be up for a fight?"
Hearing that, Dave raised an eyebrow at Tony. "Since when are you itching for battles?" he asked, amused.
Tony chuckled, "I just want to test my powers against a god. Is that too much to ask?"
Dave shook his head, a small grin forming on his face. "This should be fun to watch."
"We should save it for later," he added, just as Captain America stepped forward.
Steve Rogers approached Dave and extended a hand. "You must be Dave Garcia," he said. "Steve Rogers."
Dave shook his hand firmly. "Pleasure to meet you, Captain. I've heard a lot about you."
Steve gave a polite smile. "Let's hope we live up to expectations."
Steve then turned to the group. "We don't know when Loki will return with his army, so we should stay prepared at all times," he said.
Tony shrugged nonchalantly. "Speak for yourself, buddy. I can hit my peak after a hearty meal." He sat down, apparently losing interest in sparring with Thor for now.
"So, what should we do now?" Tony asked, then smirked. "Bonding?"
"We are supposed to be a response team," Steve said, folding his arms. "Maybe we should start by learning about each other's abilities and fighting styles. That way, we can coordinate better when it counts."
Tony leaned back in his seat. "Alright then, let's start."
"I'll go first," he said, standing up. "The name's Tony Stark—handsome, rich billionaire, inventor of my own super armor. And now, I've gained access to special powers thanks to my Turbo Energy." He demonstrated by letting a faint, glowing light ripple across his arm.
"Turbo powers?" Hawkeye asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Think of it as some super-advanced, otherworldly energy that fell into the universe. My genius captured it, enhanced it, and now I can harness it," Tony explained smugly.
Hawkeye gave a nod but muttered under his breath, "I wonder if there's an Archery Force or something like that lying around."
"I'll go next," Thor said, sitting forward. "I am Thor Odinson, wielder of lightning and storms. I'm called the God of Thunder."
Hawkeye gestured casually. "Hawkeye. Just a normal archer guy," he said with a shrug, leaning back in his chair.
"Emma Frost," Emma introduced herself. "I'm a telepath and magic user."
"Magic is real?" Hawkeye asked, raising an eyebrow.
Dave rolled his eyes. "Like you haven't read my file on it," he said dryly.
Hawkeye shrugged. "I thought it was your demon powers, not magic."
"It's magic," Dave confirmed, his tone firm. Hawkeye nodded thoughtfully.
Virginia Potts, sitting calmly, introduced herself next. "Virginia Potts, but you guys can call me Pepper. I have frost powers—I can create and manipulate ice," she said, leaning back in her chair.
Next to her, Hancock stood up confidently. "Boa Hancock. My powers are charming—I can charm anyone because I am beautiful," she said with a haughty tone. She crossed her arms, glaring daringly at anyone who questioned her words. Unbeknownst to some, her Devil Fruit powers enhanced her charms and granted her abilities that others underestimated.
"And whoever gets charmed by me turns to stone," she added nonchalantly, sitting back down.
"A bit like Medusa?" Captain America asked, intrigued.
Dave nodded. "Something like that," he said simply.
Diana introduced herself next. "Diana. I can manipulate blood," she said, her tone calm and collected.
"Trish," she said lazily, leaning back. "Lightning and demonic powers," she added, making it clear she wasn't interested in elaborating further.
Finally, Dave leaned forward slightly. "Dave Garcia. Planetary destroyer-level powers," he said casually, leaning back again with a confident smirk.
Steve's eyes narrowed slightly. "You can destroy planets with seismic power?" he asked, clearly trying to process the magnitude of the statement.
Dave nodded. "Yes. I can create vibrations powerful enough to fracture and shatter the Earth—or any planet, really," he said matter-of-factly.
Steve nodded slowly. "I thought it was a joke at first, but hearing it directly from you, I guess it's no exaggeration. That's… a lot to take in," he admitted.
"Relax," Dave said with a small smile. "I don't go around destroying anything unless absolutely necessary."
Steve gave him a nod of acknowledgment, though the weight of Dave's power clearly lingered in his mind.
Bruce Banner adjusted his glasses and introduced himself. "Well, my name is Bruce Banner. I'm a scientist in this form, but as for my… other personality, let's just say it's at a city-destroyer level," he said with a glance toward Dave, acknowledging the similarities in destructive potential.
Tony looked around, noticing someone missing. "By the way, where's the spy girl? I thought she was on the team too?" he asked, frowning slightly as he scanned the room.
Steve Rogers sighed, his expression growing serious. "She was compromised. Loki's gotten to her, and she's now under his control, doing things for him," he explained.
Tony raised an eyebrow. "Mind-controlling powers, huh? That reminds me—what exactly are Loki's powers?" he asked, genuinely curious.
