Chapter 33 - School day

February 12th,

Diary, the previous days were uneventful and gloomy, even though Auntie Isabella tried to cheer us up. Mum visited yesterday! Honestly, if I had known that an explosion could bring mum home quickly, I would've done it myself...but she left today.

Okay...I'm just kidding. I couldn't possibly blow up my own house but you get the point.

We got new clothes and school supplies so today we went to school. Nothing out of the ordinary happened until i saw a note in my locker. I took out my biology textbook and a note fell out.

Help me!

As much as I wanted to ignore it; I just couldn't. Just then, I heard a locker door slam loudly beside me and I hid the note in my textbook. I looked up to see Patrick wiggling his eyebrows at me. I shook my head and turned to leave but he side-stepped me.

"What is it Patrick? "I asked, raising a brow at him as he grinned.

"Still the same feisty Sandra, huh?"

"Why do you keep pestering me? Leave or I'll scream." I threatened.

"Emty threats. Look at me baby girl-"

"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!" I screamed as his face went pale and everyone in the hallway turned to look at us, alarmed while a few ran to me.

"Sandy, is everything okay?" They asked as I smiled at Patrick and walked away. At least that got him outta my way.

"Psst! Psst! Hey Tony!" I whispered. He didn't even look my way. After trying again, I threw a ball of paper at him.

"Hey Sandy, what's up?" He asked, raising a brow at me.

"Let's meet by lunch break. I've something to show you." I said as he gave me a thumbs up and faced his book.

"What? You mean you say this in your locker?" Ray asked as Lissa inspected the note. Tony had already seen it and he just had a blank look. I felt this twinge of guilt as I looked at him. Something was definitely up with him and it seems like the rest hadn't noticed it, even Lissa.

"Give me a second guys..." I said as Ray nodded.

"Kay." Lissa said as I pulled Tony aside and walked further into the school's garden.

"Spill."

"Huh? Why'd you drag me here?" He asked, staring at me.

"What's up with you, Tony? Why are you so pale and quiet these days?" I asked as he looked away, his hands in his pockets.

"You need to talk to me Tony." I said as he closed his eyes and I saw his jaw twitch. I stayed quiet for a while, hoping he'd talk and when he opened his eyes, they were watery. I frowned in concern then an idea quickly dropped in my mind.

I had to call Anaia.
