January 2nd,
Happy new year diary!
After the fireworks show, everyone was really bummed out from the previous day's events and staying up all night to celebrate the new year with friends and families. Anyways, I woke up before anyone else because I didn't stay to watch the fireworks till they ended so, I slept quite well.
This Morning, everyone is going to be in church for the new year service. It's gonna be great! I really want to see my friends who had either been away for the holidays or stayed far away from my house. I've also got a special offering package! Ray, Josephine and I saved some money which we'll use as our special offering. I'm excited!
After the church service, everyone went home to rest while Ray and Jake played video games, Josephine and Jane had a tea party.
I honestly don't know when those two would grow up. I mean, who's interested in having tea parties when there're so many fun stuff to do? Well, I guess my sister and our cousins are definitely the one to do that.
Cindy and I decided to stroll yo the pet shop a few blocks away. I wanted to buy a new dog and I've waited for this moment for a very long time. I saw a cute white-haired puppy and I fell in love with her. I named her Poppy after so many cheesy suggquestions Cindy made. *Laughs*
We went home after buying her food and some other dog stuff but I bumped into Antony on the way. It was really nice seeing him after a painfully long time.
"Hey bestie!" I chirped as we did our little friendship handshake.
"Hey Sandy! How are you doing?" He asked, smiling.
"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks. How's Melissa?"
"She's good and she has been asking about you. Is it okay if my sister and I come over tomorrow?" He asked.
"That sounds great! I'd love it if you and Melissa can come."
"Okay Sandy, see you tomorrow." I waved him goodbye as Cindy walked home. By the time we got home, dinner was already served. I ate a lot.( emphasis on 'a lot') I just hope i don't have a potbelly soon.
So, my favourite Psalm for today is Psalm 23! I read it over and over again before going to bed and I slept off, still saying it. The peace it brings to my heart is just so inexplicable, to know "The Lord Is My Shepherd..."
Lovely night, diary.
