Mozam is a city like Kaito has never seen. The size and the large buildings make it a marvel. Along with large rings of light blue light that surrounds the town.
Kaito marvels at the size of Mozam. "Is that entire thing a village?!" He asks, "And what's up with those floating lights?!"
Nyla laughs. "No Mozam is a city, and the lights are from the crystia casting a barrier to protect us from monsters." She asks.
Yukki seems confused. "You don't know about the crystia?" He asks Kaito. Kaito shakes his head. "They're powerful artifacts, the barrier also grants power to the entire city." Yukki explains and Kaito nods. "Of course of course, what does that mean?" Kaito asks.
Yukki shakes his head and laughs. "Well at this rate we'll be there in another thirty minutes, you'll see for yourself." He says. Yukki's mind then trails off, "I wonder if the soldiers I was with made it or not."
The ground around them begins to rumble. Nyla looks worried. "What was that?" She questions.
A loud roar sounds from just around a corner. The beast jumps out and attempts to bite down on the beast they were riding. Kaito maneuvers the beast around the bite.
Kaito smiles. "Looks like we've got one more fight!" He laughs. "Looks like a Beario!" Yukki shouts.
(Beario - A large bear like monster, stands on two legs like a person, this specific one is smaller. standing at around 11 feet tall)
Kaito leaps off their mount and kicks the Beario in the chest. "Yukki, take Nyla, and get out of here!" Kaito yells to him.
The Beario roar causes their mount to freeze up in fear. Kaito equips the small hunting knife. "I can handle this!" He tells them.
To Kaito's surprise Yukki steps up next to him. "I won't let myself fall behind this time!" Yukki shouts determined.
He unsheathes his blade. "I am a soldier!" He furrows his brow.
Nyla hides nearby. "Be careful!" She worryingly yells.
Kaito smiles at Yukki. "Try not to hold me back too much." He teases. "If you can even keep up." Yukki rebbutles.
Yukki stares down the beast inspecting it. "I was right, this a Beario but not a huge one, should be an arcane tier monster!" He explains.
The Beario roars and charges at Kaito. He jumps out of the way dodging the beast. It attempts to bite him, but Kaito kicks it's mouth shut.
Yukki's hand glow a green color and magic swirls around him. He fires a blast of pure energy at the Beario that pierces it's thick hide.
The Beario roars and charges for Yukki. He leaps back at the same time he slashes the beasts chest!
To his surprise the Beario's charge continues. Kaito jumps in and stabs the beasts arm into the ground.
The Beario roars and grabs Kaito and throws him away. Yukki uses his energy magic and charges his legs. He jumps into the air and catches Kaito.
Kaito laughs. "You're magic is awesome!" He compliments. Yukki smiles back. "You haven't seen anything yet!"
Yukki and Kaito land on the ground. Yukki places his hands on the ground. The floor under the beast morphes, and forms itself around the Beario's legs, trapping it.
Kaito dashes in quickly, he slashes the beast in the chest, it roars and punches at the ground to free itself. It claws a rock from the ground and throws it at Yukki.
Yukki creates a stone wall quickly blocking the attack. He punches his fists into the wall, and then throws it at the Beario!
The beast is stunned by the attack. Kaito charges fire magic up, and then launches a huge blast at the Beario.
Kaito then quickly charges fire into his fist and launches another blast through the chest of the beast felling it.
Kaito bows to the Beario. Yukki runs over and high fives Kaito. "That was pretty good!" Yukki compliments. Kaito laughs. "I was surprised you could keep up." Kaito teases him again. Yukki rolls his eyes. "I did the carrying, YOU had to keep up!" He says back.
Kaito turns and rubs his hands at the Beario. "Wonder what you taste like." Kaito questions.
Once he touches it the Beario's body begins to glow. Kaito jumps back from it. A sword comes from the glowing beasts body and floats above it.
Kaito looks shocked. "What the heck happened?!" Kaito questions. "You don't know what monster essence is?" Yukki asks.
From the look on Kaito's face he's got his answer. "Sometimes when a monster is slain, you're able to get it's essence, could be armor, a weapon, or a tool, they are rare though." Yukki says.
"The stronger the beast the stronger the essence, this was only an arcane monster, so it's not insanely strong but it's useful." Yukki continues.
"Also these weapons can be returned to their elemental form so you don't need to sheath them, they can be stored inside of you." Yukki explains all of this to Kaito.
Kaito jumps. "I'm not sticking a sword in me!" Kaito says as he imagines a sword being stabbed into him. Yukki shakes his head. "No i mean you can summon it, and unsummon it, if you're the person who claims it." He explains.
Kaito seems to understand it this time. "Can i have it?" He asks. Yukki nods. "It's only fair considering all you've done for us." He says.
Kaito grabs the blade and he feels a connection with it form. It feels good in his hands even though it's rather large. Not quite a greatsword but on the larger side. "It's a bit heavy, but I needed a new sword." He says.
And with that they continue to Mozam.
