Kaid starts the bout by circling Kaito and they both track each other. Kaito rushes in and swings his wooden blade for Kaid's head. Kaid quickly ducks his attack and punches Kaito in his stomach. "Only use your sword this time, Kaid!" Sun yells and Kaid apologizes.
They back off and the boys clash blades. They smile as Kaid breaks away and goes for an overhead strike. Kaito reacts quickly and goes for a block. Kaid smirks since Kaito fell for his fake. Kaid quickly redirects his attack, and he strikes Kaito in his side. Kaito holds his side and Kaid stops his next attack.
Sun seems puzzled, when Kaid stops fighting after Kaito lowers his sword. "Why are you stopping?" Sun asks. Kaid says, "He lowered his sword, Dad. That means I won." But Sun says, "No, he lowered his weapon because he's weak. Don't show him pity!" Kaid stammers, "But..." and then says, "Okay, Dad." Kaito smiles and says, "Don't worry, Kaid, I'm tough!"
They start the next round and Kaito starts again.
Kaid is a prodigy, a fast learner, and very strong. He's one of the best fighters at his age, not to mention his skills in magic. Sun knows that Kaid is a prodigy who must be honed to become an amazing talent.
Kaito goes for Kaids legs this time. Kaid leaps over Kaito's attack, and he laughs at how easy it would be to kick Kaito in his face right now. He lands, and backs away. He then goes in for another side attack. Kaito tries to read Kaid's attack but he can't tell what he's going for, so he plays it safe and goes for a block.
Kaid dodges around him and chops him in the back of his head. "I win again." Kaid says as he offers Kaito his hand.
Their bout is postponed, as they hear ruffling coming from the trees.
"Didn't expect to see other humans around here," A man said, looking startled. "I thought these parts were home to nothing but ruins." The three stood there staring at him, not saying a word. The man looked nervous. "Well, are you here for the ruins too?"
The man approaches them, having a hard time seeing because of the thick forest. Once he gets close enough to the large man in front, his face turns to one of fear and he realizes who he's looking at. "T-that face..." He says as he stumbles backwards from Sun who's face has not changed.
Kaito looks worringly at Kaid who also doesn't understand the situation.
The man falls to the ground and shouts, "You're Sun Nakaya, a member of the Kaya clan!" He turns and runs away. Sun's body burns with fire, and he dashes after the man, his fiery steps lighting the ground beneath him in a blaze.
Sun lands a crushing blow to the mans back sending him flying into a tree. A loud CRACK sounds as the man lands on the ground. He yells out in pain as Sun drags him back to the boys.
Sun throws the man to them. "End his life." Sun demands. The man begins screaming. "No please! I won't tell anyone I was never here!" He begs.
Sun looks down at the man annoyed. "Please sir please!" He begs but Sun places his foot on the mans back and stomps.
The man attempts to yell, and no noise comes out and he cries.
Sun tosses the boys a real sword. "End it." He says.
Kaid looks down at him. "Why, he's crying and can't fight back." Kaid questions. "He could be dangerous, if we let him go, he could put the whole clan in danger." Sun says.
Kaid picks up the sword listening to his father and the man whimpers. Kaid raises the blade his hand slightly trembling as he does his best to ignore the fear in the mans eye.
"Stop it!" Kaito yells. He's holding onto his shirt crying. "Don't hurt him anymore, he didn't do anything."
Sun looks at Kaito. "Stop your crying, you're a man." He says to Kaito as he takes the sword from Kaid.
Sun grabs the man and lifts him up.
"What're you going to do to him?" Kaito asks. "Don't worry, he will be fine." Sun promises as he leaves with the man.
