~Camille's POV~
After the driver dropped me off at the bus stop, I take a cab back to my apartment. I stay at unit three with my brother. After searching so hard around the city, I was able to secure this affordable and conducive apartment that can house my brother and I. My job might not pay me heavily but the pay is enough to settle my house rent and other bills. The rest of the money is enough for me to spend on myself and provide for my brother, at least it's manageable. There are lots of people out there who cannot even afford the things that I can, so I am content with whatever I have.
I slowly take off my shoes and walk inside quietly, trying to be careful so I won't wake Carter up but just when I turn around, I find two shining pairs of eyes staring at me with anticipation. Oh shit! Does this boy even sleep?
"Carter." I feign a smile. "It's only 7 in the morning, why are you up so early?"
He stands up from the sofa where he was sitting and walks over to me. "Why do I smell a walk of shame in here?" Carter grins at me as he sniffles me. "Oh crap, you smell like shit, Cam."
I roll my eyes and walk pass him. "I know that, I don't need you to remind me."
He turns to me, "At first I thought you were with Alice but when she called me this morning to ask of your whereabouts, I became worried. Where have you been?"
"Alice called you?" I narrow my eyes. Why didn't she call me? I look down at my hands to check my phone and that's only when I realize that it's dead. Oh shit, Alice must have been sick worried.
"It sounded like she had no idea where you went to." Carter continues.
My body is aching me right now and I feel sticky. "I need to take a shower."
"You owe me an explanation, sis." Carter folds his hands across his chest.
"I owe you nothing, Carter."
"You came into the house wearing a male's shirt and I am pretty sure you are wearing no panties underneath. You expect me to not ask you questions? I would be a bad brother if I do that." He shakes his head.
"Listen, I am not in the right state to answer your questions, Carter. Help me call Alice and tell her that I am back."
"Okay. Go and take a shower, you smell really weird. You will explain when you're done." He says before walking over to his reading table.
"Have you been studying?"
He nods, "Of course, I have an entrance exam in a week time."
"Why don't you wait so I will make you breakfast before you continue studying?"
He turns to me, "You want to make me breakfast wearing that? Go and shower, sis or the food will smell like sex."
Carter!! I pick up a random book that my hand can touch and throw it at him. He chuckles loudly as he dodges it. I pout my lips before walking into the bathroom.
As the water rushes down over me, I can't shake the images of last night from my head. What were you thinking Camille! Here I am overthinking and beating myself about it, I am sure he is used to things like this and wouldn't even think what we had was anything special or worth recalling. Whatever! I should stop thinking about that and come up with something believable to tell Alice and Carter.
After I finish taking my bath, I walk into my room to put on something. After that, I slowly make my way over to the sitting and this time, instead of two, I meet four anticipating pair of eyes staring at me.
Alice grins at me, "Hmm, you are glowing girl! Something juicy must have happened. Come on, tell me."
I heave a sigh and walk over to meet her on the sofa. "I didn't know you called; I am sorry. My phone died." I quickly apologize before she will eat me alive.
She nods, "Okay? So, spill the tea already."
Carter nods in agreement, "We are all ears."
Alice turns to him, "I thought you have exams next week, Carter."
Carter nods, "Yes, I do."
"Shouldn't you be studying?"
"Yeah, I studied throughout the night. Just like Cam said, I have to eat first before I go back to studying."
As if he ever listens to me, he just wants to hear what I have to say.
Alice smiles, "We should follow what Cam said then, you need to have breakfast first. I will make it for you."
"It's too early for breakfast, we should listen to Cam first."
Alice shakes her head, "Nope, it's not too early for someone who has probably not have eaten anything since yesterday because of study."
Carter sighs, "Fine then, let's have breakfast."
Alice stands up, "The only person having breakfast here, is you Mr." She starts going into the kitchen. "You sit tight, while I and Camille make breakfast for you."
I quickly stand up, "Yeah, just relax. We will make something for you, okay?"
He stares at the two of us before sighing, "It's obvious there's something you don't want me to hear but its' fine." He shrugs. "At least I have two people offering to make breakfast for me."
Alice and I both shake our heads at him before walking into the kitchen and when I turn around, I see him moving over to collect his book from the table. When Alice and I enter into the kitchen, she shut the door and bangs her hand on the counter before turning to me.
"Start talking! What happened? Why didn't you answer when I called you?"
"I told you my phone died, Alice."
"Your phone died since yesterday? I tried calling you after you left with that guy Cam, just to make sure you're fine but you weren't picking up."
I heave a sigh and rest my back against the wall facing her. "I must have missed it, Alice."
She nods, "So, tell me already. What happened?" She grins. "That guy seemed affluent, Cam."
I roll my eyes, "And so?"
She pauses and narrow her brows at me, "What do you mean? You left with an affluent guy that I have never seen in my entire life and that's the only thing you can tell me? Come on, Cam. I am very sure you both fucked."
I place my hand on my face and shake my head. "There's nothing to tell."
"Did you or did you not fuck him?"
Oh Alice! I am trying hard to forget about what happened but this friend of mine is making that impossible. A familiar ache tingles between my thighs as I recall how satisfied I felt when Niklaus was buried deep inside of me. I bit my lower lips hard to stifle a whimper that almost escaped me.
"The fuck, girl, you are practically salivating!"
"I am not." I lie quickly and turn away but my I bet my cheeks would be hot pink if I was white skinned. I can't understand how I can be so wet just thinking about him.
"Tell me, Cam! You are putting me on suspense! How was it? Was he good?"
I heave a sigh. Knowing Alice, she will not rest until I tell her what she wants to hear. "Well, it was… It was really good, I won't lie. That was the best sex I have ever had."
I see excitement taking over Alice as she claps her hands together, "That is it, girl! I taught you well!" She laughs, feeling proud. She should wait until she hears how I ran away like I murdered someone. She will definitely kill me.
"Okay, so? What happened after that? You guys are meeting again, right?" She asks with excitement.
I don't say anything but starts fidgeting with my fingers. "I don't know, no?"
"What do you mean 'no'? What exactly happened, Cam?"
"Well, I kinda um, I sneaked out before he even woke up."
"Wait, you did what? Why?"
I shrug, "I don't know? Maybe it's because I don't want his numerous girls to come and find me there."
"His numerous girls? Oh, he's a player?"
I sigh, "It turns out that way."
Alice gives me a confused look, "Okay, so what if he's a player? You guys only had sex. It's not like you two have feelings for each other or anything."
"I have never done something like this, Alice. I felt as if I was just a hook up girl."
"Well, you two did hook up but that doesn't mean you are a hook up girl, Cam. So what if he's a player? Did you not enjoy the sex?"
I nod slowly, "I did."
"Did it take your mind off your past relationship or not?"
"It did."
"Okay, so what's the problem then? He's a player who obviously doesn't want any commitment and you are a broken girl who wants to forget about her past relationship. If you had fun with him, what's bad about that? You are allowed to have fun at least once in a while in your life, girlfriend. You don't have to feel guilty or cheap just because you had a hook up with a stranger. If you don't want to see him again, then fine but don't ever feel that way just because you did what you want, you are allowed to live your life the way you want it."
I stare at Alice and tears start to form in my eyes. I quickly pull her in a tight hug and she hugs me back, patting my head.
"Oh sweetheart, was it that good that you have to cry?"
Alice!! I nudge her shoulder with mine and she laughs.
"Let's make the breakfast that we promised Carter before he comes into the kitchen." Alice says as we let go of each other.
I nod, "Yeah, right."
"You still have a lot of explaining to do so don't even think that you are free."
I chuckle before walking over to the counter, "I have nothing to tell you."
