~CAMILLE'S POV~
I can't leave Alice alone at her house, so I tell Niklaus to drop me at my apartment so she can stay with me. When we arrive at my apartment, I help Alice out of the car, placing her hand around my neck and take her upstairs. Upon reaching my residence's entrance, I take a momentary pause while still holding Alice in my arms, then pivot to face him.
"Why are you trailing my steps?" I inquire, furrowing my brow with curiosity.
"I don't remember asking the same of you when you came to my house the other times," he responds nonchalantly, offering a casual shrug.
I express mild exasperation, retorting, "Indeed, but you did declare my living quarters as uninhabitable. So, why do suddenly want to enter? There could be a genuine risk of exposure to harmful pathogens within you know."
He emits a sigh, his tone softened. "Oh, come now, Camille, you still remember that?"
I display a disapproving expression but opt to remain silent.
