Dean stayed in Fountain Hilltown for three months after the war to watch where things were going and if there would be any trouble but to their surprise, there was no issue. No one came from the capital city to give support to the Fountain Hilltown army so they were on their own and no more attacks came from the enemy they fought; it felt they were forgotten by both sides. They were happy for a peaceful moment they were able to enjoy. But to those who were in higher positions in the town, they felt things were out of place.
They wonder why the enemy did not come back to attack after the battle apart from that they were also expecting the Master of Night Fury will come for revenge since one of his disciples lost his life in the war and from the information they got from their scout they found that he was a vengeful person who won't a little thing to slide away not about the death of his disciple. They prepared for him to show up but he did not, which kept all of them in suspense. They had no option but to take things how they came so they just had to go with the flow if everything that was happening was like the calm before the storm.
The Town chief had nothing to do with the situation the enemies they were waiting for were not coming and the support they were waiting for from the capital city was not coming what he had to do was to wait and see if the scout he sent out to gather information would be able to come back with something meaningful but the time being he pass his order for everyone to go go back to there normal life.
Early Morning just after three months of the battle Dean was ready to go for training. He had done with all his preparation.
Walking out of the town was a young man about the age of sixteen with slim features wearing a black daoist robe with the top being short sleeve. He was a handsome young man one would be mesmerized just taking a look at him with his black hair like slick falling to his shoulder giving out an aura of simplicity like he was easy to approach. He was walking out of the town observing everywhere in the town, like he was trying to engrave everything and all that was happening in the town into his mind since it was the first he would be leaving his home for training he was already feeling homesick before leaving.
"That is young Master Dean, I heard he contributed a lot during the battle"
"You heard. I am sorry for your misfortune, I saw all that happened with my own eyes back then".
"I wonder the lie came from that he was crippled turns out to be hiding his strength".
When the citizens saw him they started discussing among themselves with those who saw the fight between Dean and Night Fury feeling bliss for being there at the right time giving them some edge over those who were not there to witness the battle.
"Young Master, well done are you doing". Some citizens that were bold enough walked towards him and greeted him asking about his well-being because since after the battle, they had not heard anything about Dean, it was like he disappeared after rendering such a great feat for everyone in the town.
"I am okay". With a warm smile, Dean replied to everyone who greeted him and asked about his well-being.
While greeting those who greeted him Dean did not stop walking and continued heading towards the exit of the town.
"It is great to have people like those in the town around you. If it was other places that a genius after some time became crippled they would not be treated well but in Fountain Hilltown, I was held in this regard as when I was a genius".
Dean recalls what it was like when he was still disabled weakly, he felt if the citizens of the town were not that good to him maybe he would have developed some form of hatred towards them.
But they treated him like one of them, which he was, he felt he would do his best to protect them and not let them down when they needed him the most.
Dean continued walking until the town was far behind his back then and there he took a look back at the town with a little form of loneliness in his eyes and also some form of anticipation of how things would be when he returned from his training.
"Dean you should be happy that you have good-hearted people like this around you, if it was some other place you would have been kicked out a long time ago". Zi said
"What! Dean exclaimed when he heard Zi talk.
"What happened, is there anything wrong with you?". Zi was concerned when they heard the shock in Dean's voice.
"Yes there is something wrong and I think it is serious," Dean said with all seriousness.
"What is that, is it something we can deal with? Tell me let me see if I can help". Zi said.
"Don't you notice anything strange?" Dean asks, keeping Zi in suspense before he continues.
"You called me by my name some few seconds back". Dean said with laughter giving a carefree air.
"What!.. This time around it was Zi who exclaimed when it heard Dean's words
"Because I called you by your name that's why you are over the moon," Zi said Taking a deep breath and continuing.
"You are overly stupid, I see why you". Zi said not speaking anymore.
"You see why what? Dean could not help but question when he heard what was said.
"You still don't get it, I see why you are stupid is because you lack brain power"
Zi said laughing which put Dean in an awkward position.
