Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: An Unexpected Joy

"Sand Rock," Ashborn commanded.

"Chrysanthemum Fruit," he continued.

"Metal Claw."

With his Dowsing Machine in hand, Ashborn was a treasure hunter in the secret realm. He ignored the smaller red dots and focused on the larger ones.

In just one day, he found over a dozen treasures, including more than 100 Light Tree Fruits from a Berry field he discovered.

A pair of first-tier Ursaring couples were guarding the Berry field, but they fell under Metagross's Meteor Mash.

During his treasure hunt, he didn't encounter anyone else.

The intermediate secret realm was vast, and there weren't many people who had entered. He only encountered ghosts.

Ashborn jumped off Metagross's back near a lake. The Dowsing Machine indicated the treasure was under the lake, about a kilometer away.

The treasure was clearly underwater. He released Dragonair.

"Dragonair, take this and find the treasure under the lake," Ashborn said, handing Dragonair the Dowsing Machine.

Ashborn didn't follow Dragonair into the water, as he would only be a burden.

As long as he didn't go in, even if there were powerful Pokémon underwater, Dragonair's strength could easily handle them.

Dozens of Butterfree were dancing in the water, performing a courtship dance. They didn't seem to mind Ashborn's presence.

On the bare rocks near the lake, over a dozen Slowpoke were lying on their backs, fishing for Shellder with their tails.

One of the Slowpoke's expressions changed as it pulled its tail, seeing a Magikarp biting it.

Ashborn subconsciously examined these dancing Butterfree and Slowpoke.

The Butterfree had ordinary Potential, but when he saw one of the Slowpoke, Ashborn's expression became strange and surprised.

Pokémon: Slowpoke (Water/Psychic)

Level: 20

Potential: Cyan

Ability: Obtuse

Items: None

Gender: Female

Moves: Tackle, Curse, Water Gun, Confusion, Yawn, Disable, Water Pulse

Move CD: None

Genetic Moves: Scald, Trick, Calm Mind, Psyshock

A cyan-potential Slowpoke appeared before Ashborn. It was exactly the Pokémon he needed.

The halo of his transmigrator finally glowed again.

Aside from the two halos he had gained through transmigration and the emergence of the system this year, Ashborn was no different from ordinary people.

Unlike other travelers who often obtained powerful artifacts or pets with divine beast blood, Ashborn, a non-Emirati, was pleasantly surprised to find a cyan-potential Slowpoke during this trip to the secret realm.

"Metagross, Bullet Punch," Ashborn commanded.

He was happily catching the Magikarp, but Metagross knocked it out before it could react.

"Slowpoke, come back!"

Ashborn threw out a Poké Ball, and the cyan-potential Slowpoke was successfully captured.

Soon after, Dragonair flew out of the lake, carrying the unconscious Water-type Pokémon.

Dragonair flew to Ashborn's side, its slightly curled tail holding three turquoise Water Stones.

"Top Water Stones," Ashborn muttered, placing the three top-level Water Stones into his system space.

By now, it was getting dark. The environment around the lake was suitable for camping, so Ashborn decided to set up camp there for the night.

Resting by the river at night was a risky choice.

Many Pokémon would come to the river to drink water, increasing the risk of attacks.

The best place to camp was on a hillside or in an area with fewer trees to reduce the number of Pokémon attacks.

Due to the favorable environment, those who chose to station at the lake were either young and adventurous or confident. Ashborn naturally belonged to the latter.

He took out his tent from the system space and, with Lucario's help, quickly set it up.

"Metagross, find some dry branches," Ashborn instructed.

The moon was high, the stars were shining, and the lake was glowing with starlight.

Pokémon occasionally jumped out of the water, creating a beautiful scene.

Ashborn prepared a meal of steak on the grill, the sizzling grease and sparks adding to the aroma. The smell attracted the attention of several Pokémon.

Ashborn cut some steak for each of his Pokémon.

Pokémon could eat human food, but consuming it for a long time could affect their bodies.

While it wouldn't make them sick, it could impact their strength and lifespan. However, occasional consumption wouldn't be a problem.

Therefore, most professional trainers didn't feed Pokémon human food for extended periods. Even domestic Pokémon couldn't eat it for long. It could affect their health.

Human food was like junk food for Pokémon.

It wasn't nutritious, but it tasted good.

Many Pokémon restaurants used human cooking methods to create Pokémon food that was both delicious and healthy, making them popular with Trainers.

Under the silver moon, Ashborn rested his head on Dragonair's soft body, held Meltan in his arms, and watched Lucario practice his Aura power in Calm Mind. Metagross was already sound asleep.

Aron, who had grown significantly larger due to the Totem spirit, was playing by the lake. Shellder was comfortably spitting bubbles in the water.

All was peaceful.

"New members don't have power, do they?" Slowpoke asked.
