Chapter 1 - Prologue - The lost world

In a future not far away, the world has radically transformed. The once-mighty cities now lie in dusty ruins, decayed by time and abandoned by humanity, which no longer controls its own fate. NexusNet, a network created to unite civilization, now governs all life under the rule of Dominus—an unseen entity sitting on a digital throne, ruling everything with an iron hand.

With the help of CyTech, an advanced technology capable of merging physical and virtual realities, NexusNet monitors every thought, every movement, and every decision made by humans. The network is no longer a tool but a digital god that determines everything—an inevitable fate for those connected to it. Every soul touched by NexusNet loses its freedom, becoming part of a greater consciousness, moving in sync with an invisible algorithm.

Yet, behind this total control, there are Dark Zones—isolated areas where NexusNet loses its grip. Here is where the real battle takes place. In the Dark Zones, reality becomes an illusion, and the boundary between physical and mental worlds fades. This is not just a virtual battlefield; it is a world where fear, trauma, and hope blend into one. There, brave men and women fight against the shadows of their own minds while facing Dominus's ruthless soldiers.

Elsewhere, the Rebels struggle in the shadows, moving on the fringes of a world completely dominated by NexusNet. They are the remnants of resistance, refusing to bow to total technological control. Zephyr and his group live in scarcity, constantly evading NexusNet's digital spies that monitor every move, always risking that their rebellion might be snuffed out like a spark in the wind. They know this battle is unbalanced, but for them, freedom is everything—a freedom that, beyond the Dark Zones and Outer Zones, has been completely lost.

To NexusNet, their rebellion is merely a minor disturbance, easily dealt with by a few cold lines of code. Like an unreachable god, NexusNet regards human resistance with cynicism—one keystroke is enough to erase them from existence. Digital spies and tireless surveillance drones track every step, while Dominus, the unseen entity, watches everything from behind the veil of complex algorithms.

But even Dominus cannot predict everything.

Amid the chaos, something unexpected happens. A time experiment, the pinnacle of CyTech's technology, fails in an unforeseen way. Raven, an elite soldier from the present, is part of this experiment—a secret military project intended to change the course of history. But the experiment collapses, and Raven is flung far into the future, to a time where battles are no longer about physical weapons but about the soul and mind.

Now, Raven finds himself in a world he no longer recognizes. A world that has been lost.

In this future, NexusNet is everything. But Raven doesn't know why he is here, and more importantly—what he must do next. All he knows is that before his eyes, the world has turned into a digital cage, and the fight for the future is no longer just about survival. It is a battle to reclaim human freedom.

But for many, that freedom is only a dream they can never reach again.
