[Sorry for the late update, but I had my semester papers going on. I have also uploaded the Character Sheet of Kaizo along with all the made up spells description] Hope you enjoy the Chapter.
Kaizo spent the entire afternoon wandering around Diagon Alley, but did not get any more information about the Griffin. After all, this magical beast has been missing for too long. The last time it had contact with humans was with Newt Scamander in 1927.
"Since I can't find it in other people's mouth, now I can only rely on myself."
That night, Kaizo returned to his room early, placed an incense burner on the floor, surrounded it with four ivory ornaments, lit a fire and burned the incense, and started using Prophecy magic ritual. Speaking of which, Kaizo has to thank Muggles for their developed modern industry.
Ritual materials such as incense and ivory products would cost atleast around 60-70 galleons in any magical settlement. But by relying on Muggle's developed industrial system, the price of these items has been reduced by more than ten times. The materials that originally cost a lot of money, Kaizo only needed to go to the mall and spend less than a 100 pounds to get them all.
[Legend Comprehension- A 4-ring prophecy branch spell. Knowing Legends allows the user to obtain relevant information and deeds about the relevant person, place or thing. The more the user knows about the person, place or thing, the more detailed prophecy you can get about the specific object or person.]
This is a spell which Kaizo had learned before departing from Hogwarts. It is also the basis for him to dare to look around for precious magic materials without knowing anything about their locations. Without this kind of foresight spell, he, a novice in the magical world, might not be able to find all of these tricky materials even if has some clues on his hands.
In addition to [Legend Comprehension], he has also made many other preparations for this independent trip. For example, in order to prepare for possible conflicts, he learned many combat spells, such as [Petrificus Totalus], the [Stupefy], [Flipindo], [Difodio], etc.
On this basis, Kaizo developed a series of spells such as the [Grease spell], [Mirror Image], [Implant], and [Mana Armor]. He also took advantage of the potions class to buy a few bottles of invigorating potions that restored health. Anyway, He's fully prepared. His wizard level has also been improved to Lv-5, and his magical power as well as magical resistance has also slightly improved.
Even though his magic power is not as good as that of an adult wizard, with his unique spells and his [Instant Spell], he is still capable of fighting as long as he does not encounter any Senior Auror or Death Eater.
[Legend Comprehension], Griffin's beak."
When the smoke of the incense sticks completely enveloped the room, Kaizo started the ritual. Out of caution, he didn't try to find a Griffin but rather his beak. After all, a beak should be much easier to find than a live Griffin.
Maybe some old wizard has an ancestral Griffin skull hidden in his home? Anyway, to brew an Eternal potion, what is needed is magical ingredient of the material. The "symbolic meaning" of that particular material itself. Here's the difference between magic and science:
Magic is not just the evolution of purely objective factors such as the use of magic power and the deduction of laws or rules of the world. There are still many idealistic and subjective factors in magic.
Such as Will, Spirit and Emotion,
Another example is the various "symbols" of acquired ir known items. From a sociological perspective, the essence of symbols is similar to memes, which are products of collective imagination in human social activities.
For example, the Crow symbolizes the "Sun", so crow feathers can be used in potions which may have needed solar elements. Another example is that the Grasshopper represents the "jumping ability", so the Grasshopper's hind legs can be used as casting materials for the "Hopping Spell".
This is why strange ingredients such as "liar's tongue" and "witch's saliva" appear in many ancient potion recipes. Muggles think of the Gods and ghosts as just products of human imagination. But in the Wizarding world, adhering to the principal that if you believe it, there will be something, and if you don't believe it, there would be nothing. The collective imagination of mankind is really effective.
Don't you all know that in the Fate World, The Nine Heavens Wheel world, collective imagination can even tamper with real history, giving historical figures power they never had even during their lifetimes, and even allow fantasy characters to step into reality.
Back to Kaizo's side,
[Eternal Eagle's Majestic Elixir]. The reason why a Griffin's beak is needed, because the creature "Griffin" is synonymous with Majesty, Pride, and charm. Many royal families and nobilities have a Griffin painted on their family coat of arms. The core medicinal materials of several other Elixirs are similar to this.
This is why Kaizo would rather have a fossilized Griffin than use a Hippogriff as a replacement. As the magical ritual progressed, Kaizo soon became imersed in the ritual, and a blurry picture flashed in his mind.
In the picture is an artificially dug crave. In front of the cave is an array of huge rocks. The array is arranged strangely, and strange plants grow among them, forming wonderful patterns. In the array of stones, there was a circular cavity on a huge stone, and it looked like something had been embedded there. Beside the boulder, are several four-legged animals.
They are somewhat similar to Alpaca, with different fur colors, but all of them have big eyes. At the same time they are collectively looking at the stone formation in front of them, though they look a bit...
Dumb?
The scene ended there. Kaizo suddenly woke up from his trance like sleep. Looking at the time, half an hour had passed. The incense smoke has long since disappeared. In order words, he has gotten the clues for the Griffin's beak.
"Is this the whereabouts of the Griffin's beak that my prophecy spell tells me?"
Kaizo soon fell into thought,
"The artificial caves, stone formations, strange patterns, circular inlays, and those four legged beasts… I always feel that I have seen them somewhere before.:
"Wait…could those animals be…Mooncalf?"
Kaizo had only seen this creature only in books about magical beasts. The Mooncalf is a very shy magical creature that only comes out of their cave only at the full moon night. Their skin is smooth with light gray colour, and different Mooncalves have different fur patterns.
It has four slender legs, flat feet, and a pair of bulging eyes. As soon as the full moon comes, they will stand on their hind legs and start to dance a very complicated dance. People think that is a part of their mating ritual of the mooncalves. Muggles used to get really confused when they would discover such complex geometric patterns in their fields.
Thinking of this this, he suddenly understood where the sense of deja vu in the picture came from. This is because he has already been there.
In a game called Hogwarts Legacy, Kaizo came here in his fifth year with his girlfriend Penny Haywood.
"Isn't this the [Moonstone Garden]?"
"Is it possible that the Griffin beak I'm looking for is here?"
However, the Moonstone garden is supposed to be quite far from Hogwarts, but you can go there by special route via mountains. Thinking of this, Kaizo picked up his wand, put many specially prepared potions into his backpack, and immediately went downstairs.
He came to the fireplace in the Leaky Cauldron, grabbed a handful of floo powder, and threw it into the fireplace. With a roar, the fire turned green and rose higher than his whole body. Kaizo walked straight into the fire, and shouted:
"Irondale"
In the blink of an eye, he disappeared into the fire.
