Chereads / My Professor and I. / Chapter 65 - Chapter Sixty-Five.

Chapter 65 - Chapter Sixty-Five.

Her eyes opened on the morning of March 1st, making it shy of a month and a half she and Oliver had been together. The sun peaked through the windows and she yawned, sitting up to stretch her body.

"You're up? How are you feeling?"Oliver pushed the door open with his back bringing in a tray of breakfast for Kayla.

"I'm fine. Just sore." She wrinkled her nose, smiling playfully at him. Her professor didn't allow her to do anything around the house, only cooking lunch and dinner for them because he loved watching her cook and it made her happy.

Last night, they had sex and there was a little bit of blood play after that, she puked out blood which he saw and she had to lie that she was anemic. He did everything for her and wanted to do anything for her.

Kayla was even afraid to go shopping with him because anything she looked at he purchased and when she admonished him, he would look at her in disdain, blaming her, "Then don't look at Hastings! I just want to spoil you raccoon."

Safe to say that Oliver Wilde, asshole extraordinaire and her enemy was the biggest simp of all time and it was all thanks to Kayla Hastings.

At work, they played their parts, occasionally having sex in his office but at home, Oliver forbade anything that had to do with the office.

"I asked Nate and he prescribed drugs and I searched online to find foods that helped replenish blood," he told her, setting down the tray in her lap and sitting beside her on the bed. "I don't know how to cook some of them but they said strawberry is full of iron so I made oatmeal."

"Oliver, I'm fine. You don't have to do all of this nor do you have to stay up all night researching anything. You take care of me so let me take care of you too, please." She held his hand, intertwining their fingers.

"But I want to. I want to take care of you because I was made to do that. You were made for me." Kayla's breath caught. She bumped her forehead with his.

Popping a strawberry into her mouth, she asked, "Don't you have other hobbies than spending every weekend with me and reading Harry Potter all the time?"

"I love watching everything you do. You are simply fascinating. And I love Harry Potter." He defended and Kayla didn't say anything.

She had unfortunately noticed his habits which didn't exist. Outside of work, she and H.P. didn't have a life except his friends but they rarely got together because they all ran multi-billion dollar companies.

Why he loved the books so much, Kayla knew. It was because when he was going through hell they were the only things stable in his life. He had grown dependent on them and she was afraid he would do the same with her which wasn't bad because she loved being pampered by him but she would be gone soon.

"You know what we are going to do today? We are going to find you new hobbies. I've been planning this all week. We're going to try everything and I mean, everything." She wiggled her brows and Oliver groaned.

"Hastings."

"Professor." they glared at each other. Hastings had swallowed about five pills so she would have enough strength for this weekend which was ill-advised. However coherent decisions weren't her strongest suit. She wanted him to be happy too.

"I hate you so much that I want to burn you alive." he muttered and she laughed, "Feelinhs mutual, asshole."

"I have something for you." He informed her before getting to his feet.

"What?" she raised a brow.

"Your birthday is in 13 days so I have a gift for each day until then."

"What!? Oliver why would you…." The man shut her up with a kiss on the lips.

"Good Girl. Your lips have so many amazing uses but talking isn't one of them." The sexual innuendo made her cheeks redden.

"You pervert!" She threw a pillow at him.

"Only for you." he winked, walking away into their shared closet. She had practically moved in at this point.

After the first two weeks, she told Loui she was living with her sister. Loui and her sister didn't get along for whatever reason she wasn't worried that she would call Evie.

She sighed, content. This was perfect. Waking up beside Oliver every morning and tracing his handsome features then he would open his eyes and bite her finger. It was a routine for them at this point. They would wrestle in bed until one of them fell off which was always her.

Her smile faltered when she realized that this wasn't forever. This was for a short period and the clock was ticking. Her feelings for Oliver were growing stronger day by day and she was scared. Scared that he would want to make her live and then they would try only to fail and she would die a painful death because she loved him too much to let him go.

Before she spiraled, Oliver returned with a sky-blue rectangular box. The other day, she got him a watch so he thought he would return the favor.

He handed it to her, "open it."

She did and saw the most beautiful diamond necklace in a rose shape. She gasped, covering her mouth, "Oliver… this is… this is…." her eyes watered.

"Do you like it?" He asked cautiously, lowering himself to the bed.

"Like it!? Oliver, I love it! Help me put it on!" She urged and his face broke into a relieved smile.

Pushing her hair to one side, he wore the necklace for her and planted a kiss on the back of her neck.

"How does it look?" She inquired, excitedly.

"Priceless just like you." Her arms flew to capture in a hug.

"Thank you so much, Ollie. Thank you." She whispered and he smelled her hair.

'Thank you for the happiness you've given me no matter how short. To me, spending a day with you equates to forever.' The words were on the tip of her tongue, a stray tear sliding down her face and she hugged him tighter.

"I'd do anything for you, Hastings. Anything. I hate you my feisty raccoon."

"I hate you more, asshole." She giggled.

For the weekend, the first place she took them to was a play which she was sure Oliver didn't even watch because his whiskey eyes were on her throughout.

When they came out of the theatre, she hit his arm, "What's the point of coming to the play if you didn't even watch it!?"

"I did watch, Hastings. Your accusations wound me." He pretended to be hurt and Kayla glared at him.

"Fuck off, asshole!" The Auburn-haired girl stormed off and Oliver chased after her.

"Hastings, wait up! Hastings!" He caught up to her and slung his arm around her shoulders. "The main character, Alex, died at the end at the hands of his brother."

She was taken aback, "You remembered?"

"Of course I did. It was either that or you and the play was the better option." She shot daggers at him. "I mean you are very intriguing to look at." He kissed her scrunched-up nose. Hastings made him happy. Being with her was bliss.

He was healing. She took the broken pieces and fixed them with her feistiness and care. Love didn't erase the cracks, it just filled them up and that's what she was doing.

She pushed him away and he did the same. Losing her was a thought he didn't entertain because this was how it was meant to be. Just the two of them taking care of each other. No one else mattered.

Next top on their date was an arcade and when they left, Kayla was holding a bag full of stuffed animals.

"Did you have to win everything?" She grumbled.

"Yes, because I'm good at it, unlike you who couldn't even win one! One, Hastings! You are so dumb!"

"How dare you!? You are the dumb one you asshole!" She swung the bulging bag in his direction and it hit him.

They both got ice creams and they couldn't help but cause a scene there too. Kayla smudged ice cream on the lips and Oliver licked it off and had a very passionate make-out in the park. An old woman had to yell at them to remind them that they were in the park, only then did they stop.

The couple glanced at each other and broke out laughing.

Kayla was still very energetic so Oliver took her to an amusement park which she opposed vehemently. He dragged her to wait in line for a rollercoaster of death. That was what it was called.

She tried to run away but Oliver held her back. "You won't fall, Hastings." he rolled his eyes at her paranoia.

"You were not the one who fell off a cliff! I don't want to go!" She cried and Oliver rubbed his temples.

"I'm here with you. Nothing is going to happen to you. I promise." he cupped her cheeks, her heart still sounding in her ears.

"Promise?"

"I'll never leave you." he kissed her forehead and she nodded, clinging to him like her life depended on it.

When they were on the ride, she was shaking non-stop. Seeing her state, Oliver relented. "We can still go down if you want."

"No… I can handle this! You're with me. I trust you!" Her stomach felt queasy and Oliver squeezed her palm.

Kayla closed her eyes when it started, screaming her head off.

"Hastings, open your eyes. Hastings, open your eyes," he demanded and she shook her head. "If you don't look, you'll miss the view. You'll love it, trust me." Slowly, she flared her eyes and Oliver was right.

"Bloody hell." Fireworks erupted in the sky and they were high up. The different colors of the fireworks illuminated their faces and Kayla was mesmerized.

"It's beautiful, Ollie. Just like your heart." His heart melted and their lips crashed into each other's. The atmosphere was destroyed when the ride started going down and Kayla began her screaming marathon. Oliver just laughed.

The two walked around, playing games, eating lots of junk food, and taking silly pictures. No matter how many times she asked him to take her pictures he was patient but of course, he complained. The pictures came out great.

Sneakily, she took pictures of him and he was very photogenic. All the unawares were something out of a magazine. She was an amazing photographer.

Finally, they called it a night but Kayla decided that this was time to have a dance party. Oliver plumped down on the couch watching her sway to 'Shut up and Dance.'

He adored her so much that it felt physically impossible to do so. Everything she did or said was more important than anything in the world because his world revolved around her.

The song changed to something slower and sexier, 'Lavender and Velvet.'

Kayla dawned a sultry smile, stalking towards him.

His eyes flashed as Kayla sat on his lap, facing him. His throat bobbed, "What are you doing?"

"What do you think? I'm giving you a lap dance, professor." She grinded her hips on his member making him groan. His hand flew to her waist, the other, roaming every inch of her body.

"Fuck, Hastings! Fuck!" She was so good at this. He was losing his damn mind. Under her top, his hand groped her breast and she moaned softly.

"I want you now, Hastings. You are mine."

"I'm yours." She promised.
