Opening the door of an inn in the Auricomous village, Kaizoku stepped out with Gabriel, who was still lost in thought.
"For now, we'll stay in this village. Auricomous is quite secluded and safe; they should take quite a while to get to know us," Gabriel said.
Kaizoku seemed not to be listening to what Gabriel was talking about, still overwhelmed by an immense sadness after losing someone he loved.
Seeing Kaizoku's continued melancholy, Gabriel tried to cheer him up and help him forget what had happened.
But this was difficult for Gabriel, as he also felt guilty about failing to save Kaizoku and Sylphy in the Underworld.
Trying to think positively, Gabriel invited Kaizoku to eat together at the nearby bar.
"Instead of brooding, let's eat! It's on me!" Gabriel said playfully, pulling Kaizoku's neck with his arm.
Due to Gabriel's insistence, Kaizoku finally agreed to move and follow Gabriel into the bustling bar.
Of course, the bar's patrons were unaware of who Kaizoku was. They only glanced at him briefly, noting his unusual attire.
Sitting at the bar counter, a brown-skinned woman with long black hair, dressed like a somewhat sexy, welcomed Kaizoku and Gabriel after emerging from the back room.
"Hah, what are you doing here again, Gabriel? Aren't you still busy at Aetherforge?" the woman asked, leaning against the bar counter.
Continuing her questioning, she looked at Kaizoku beside Gabriel and asked, "Who's this kid with moldy skeleton hand on his eye? He looks depressed. Have you gotten into trouble again?"
Gabriel was unsure how to explain the situation, but he knew one thing: this woman could be trusted with a secret.
Quietly, Gabriel whispered a secret to her, "Don't tell anyone, but he's the hero from that myth."
"WHAT!?" she exclaimed, momentarily silencing the entire bar.
After a brief moment of silence, the bar's patrons returned to their previous conversations as if nothing had happened.
"Are you sure!? He looks way too young to be a hero! Have you seen the strange hand covering his left eye!?"
"Shhh! Don't speak so loudly. Consider this our secret. Please respect him; he's just been through something we wouldn't wish on anyone," Gabriel responded, trying to maintain discretion.
"Give him space to process. Maybe he's not so strong right now, but I promise he has more potential than Ishayaki."
The woman looked back at Kaizoku, still lost in thought, then turned again to Gabriel.
"You're sure? He doesn't look promising. You know what happened to Ishayaki, right?"
Gabriel sighed and answered, "Of course, Ishayaki was unforgivable, but we can't discard our only hope for this world."
"He's already quite strong... You know why there's a bone hand covering his left eye? Because... He's the one who defeated the Underworld ruler, Gon."
Learning from her previous outburst, the woman tried to contain her shock. She chose to cover her mouth, keeping the secret as best she could.
The woman looked at Kaizoku again, convincing herself to remain composed and try to introduce herself, being a fan of all heroes transported to this world.
When Kaizoku lifted his head, he saw the woman hesitantly attempting to introduce herself.
"Umm, excuse me... I apologize if my previous words were disruptive. I'm Tiayri, the bar manager and the one who take care of everything here. And you are?" Tiayri asked nervously.
Kaizoku looked at Gabriel, who simply nodded, indicating Kaizoku could be honest and give his real name to Tiayri.
Looking back at Tiayri, Kaizoku answered with a disinterested tone, "Shageki Kaizoku, also known as Billy McCarter or whatever they wrote."
Tiayri didn't know how to respond, as Kaizoku had answered her question without much enthusiasm.
Turning back to Gabriel, Tiayri asked why Kaizoku was acting this way, "What's wrong with him? Still searching for his will to live?"
"Well... Maybe so... Never mind. We'll train him after this, two fried rice. Please prepare our food and drinks quickly," Gabriel responded, trying to avoid discussing what happened before.
For now, Tiayri let them have their privacy, not wanting to interfere further. She nodded and walked to the back room.
After a while, Tiayri finished cooking and immediately served the meal to Kaizoku and Gabriel.
Kaizoku ate listlessly and without energy, quite different from Gabriel, who ate quite quickly.
After Gabriel finished his meal, he noticed Kaizoku had only eaten half his portion.
Understanding Kaizoku's worse condition, Gabriel didn't want to push him further. He understood that Kaizoku might need some rest.
That's why Gabriel abandoned his idea of morning training with Kaizoku as usual, thinking it might be better to give him a break for now.
After drinking from his glass, Gabriel called Tiayri to ask something.
Hearing Gabriel's call, Tiayri came out of the kitchen to meet him again.
"Hmm? Something else?" Tiayri asked after arriving in front of Gabriel.
Whispering, Gabriel asked, "Do you know where the nearest necromancer is?"
Tiayri nodded, indicating she knew something.
