Just as they were striking cool poses, Kaizoku suddenly felt stomach pain and vomited.
"Bleeegh!!! Ah... I forgot about the spell's side effects," Kaizoku said weakly after throwing up.
"Tch, how dare you dirty Gon's place!" Gon rushed quickly towards Sylphy and Kaizoku.
Gon aimed the long edge of his scythe at Kaizoku's head.
However, Sylphy managed to protect Kaizoku's head by blocking the tip of the long scythe.
Lilith countered by flying at high speed and delivering a powerful kick to Sylphy's head.
Because Sylphy was too focused on blocking Gon's scythe attack, the kick successfully landed on her head, sending her flying far.
Sylphy quickly dug her claws into the ground to slow her momentum and regain control of her body.
When Sylphy looked ahead, suddenly Lilith thrust her spear at her.
Sylphy quickly blocked it with both palms, protecting her head from Lilith's long spear.
"GRRHH!!"
Sylphy felt pain, more intense than before, needed anger to balance out the pain. If both feelings could achieve equilibrium, then she could use the Bloodlust spell.
With all her might, Sylphy pushed the spear away with both palms.
Sylphy managed to push Lilith far from her.
"Heh... Heh... Come on Sylphy, where's your anger... At this crucial moment you can't find your rage."
Sylphy was frustrated because her anger wouldn't surface. She needed a spark to ignite the fire within.
Nevertheless, Sylphy remained determined to fight in her normal mode, without the aid of other powers.
Sylphy ran forward, jumped very high and extended her claws targeting Lilith's neck.
However, the attack was blocked by Lilith with her hard shield.
Lilith pushed Sylphy back, forcing her to retreat slightly. Sylphy noticed several points unprotected by iron armor: the neck, upper thighs, and of course, the face.
What still made it difficult for Sylphy to attack was Lilith's shield that continuously managed to deflect her attacks.
Sylphy needed to move faster than Lilith's reactions, but that seemed impossible after using two Void Walk spells that drained much of her soul energy. Sylphy need Bloodlust to gain additional power that would multiply her speed several times over.
Everything seemed impossible if Sylphy couldn't find the spark to ignite her inner fire.
Lilith launched her attack by thrusting her spear at Sylphy.
Sylphy's reaction was faster than Lilith's, easily avoiding the attack by bending her neck backwards.
Sylphy countered by kicking Lilith's hand from bottom to top.
This counter-attack was beyond Lilith's expectations, resulting in her getting hit by the kick and losing her hand's balance.
Due to losing hand balance, Lilith accidentally threw her spear upward. "Ghah!?"
Lilith was shocked seeing her spear thrown far away.
At the perfect moment, Sylphy quickly intended to strike at Lilith's neck.
However, at the same time, Lilith realized Sylphy was directing her claws at her neck. Lilith intended to step back, but because Sylphy's claws were already very close, it was almost impossible to avoid.
Sylphy managed to hit Lilith's neck, but because Lilith turned her head, Sylphy's claw attack diverted upward to the left then down below Lilith's left eye.
"AAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Lilith held the area below her right eye in pain.
"You... You damaged an important part of me! I'll make you pay!! MY FACEEE!"
